I flew around that crap last night. Dallas shut down twice last night before I decided to punch out. Dispatch told us Oklahoma was a good alternate. I turned the ship in that direction and saw an even bigger storm on the radar heading that way. Ended up in Tulsa. The weather there was sketchy but we were getting low on fuel. Found out that OKC got hit by several tornadoes. It's been awhile since I've dealt with a storm that size.

Maybe they have all lost power but otherwise are safe.  :undecided:

I looked up Lindale on the internet and saw uprooted trees, power outages, golfball size hail.  At the time no one was found dead.

At 5:45 last night a tornado hit hit the Oleo Ranch with unbelievable wind and rain. I though for sure the windows were going to blow out and the house collapseArizona Wayne and many others have been to my place so try and imagine not seeing the house from the road. The ground is saturated so pine, pecan and fruit trees came up with the root ball. I have, make it had, a lot trees. None hit the house, shop or barn. My '77 GMC is under a collapsed carport. Old Red, my new truck a 82 Chev was parked under a tree we worked from 8 til 4 today just cleaning the 300 foot drive. Tomorrow, if this old bod can move will work on getting a path to the shop.

I'm forever thankful it happened at 6 pm instead of in the middle of the night. The house acrooss the street had a big tree fall on it and collapsed the house. Man, talk about friends. Every damaged place had lots of people helping cut trees, put on tarps etc.

All Guzzis are OK. I don't know when we'll get power. Beaver has electricity, shower, a/c and ......

The Oleo Ranch looks like a war zone but I'm so lucky compared to many others.

My 7 marriages were mild compared to going thru a tornado. I hope you won't experience it.

Beaver said she'd post pictures when she can.

One lucky sob, Texas Turnip

Ken,
Glad to read you got thru it with all you're fingers & toes accounted for.  Sounds like the dirt is undisturbed on the Guzzi's.   :thumb:

A lot of damage up toward Tyler area.  Was out around Alto and Crockett yesterday.  Pretty rough.  Glad Tex and Beaver are okay.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and offers of help. Yesterday I had to clear spot for Beaver to park her truck in the drive. Four acres and no room to park with the downed trees and water soaked ground.

The weather isn't miserably hot and have a good supply of dry cigars.

My chain saw is calling me.

Turnip, don't remember if you have a fireplace or not, but now you are going to have a lot of firewood to use or sell.   :boozing:

Turnip, we are in Cross Junction VA right, headed back to Iowa tomorrow.  We can swing through Lindale if you need a hand.  Let me know what you need.
