For those of you not already on Ronkom's mailing list, the monthly "Southwest Virginia 3rd Saturday Guzzi Lunch" will be held at:

Sanzone's Restaurant
Stuart's Draft, Virginia
12:00 Noon Saturday 17 October.

All the roads heading there are good ones, and the eggplant parmegiana is excellent.   Come and have lunch with the Best of Guzzi riders (around here, anyhow) if you haven't already got plans.   And chances are you'll have about 10 local "Fall Festivals" to hang out at on the way home ......

I rode my bike in to work on Monday, and I noticed that a squeaky rattle that I'd been hearing was getting louder. At 9pm,when I got out of classes, I pulled it over to a light in the parking lot and discovered that a weld has broken (again) on my sidecar frame. Looks like my bike is down for a few weeks until I have the time to pull the car off and have it welded and reinforced with some gussets.

This bike is one needy wench. Good thing she's gorgeous.

Your patience is like that of Job ... At least you're gradually finding the weak points and getting them sorted!

Should be nice and cool going over the mountains to Stuart's Draft tomorrow morning!   I fished out the heated-vest pigtail from under the seat for Fay, I know she'll be wanting it!    Taking just the back roads ....

A nice fall day in the mountains, lunch included ...

So today we gathered in the lovely but cool fall weather for our 3rd Saturday SW Virginia Guzzi lunch, this time at Sanzones in Stuarts Draft.

We had 76 Convert, a 98 EV, an 09 Stelvio, an 83 Lemans 850, a 2003 Beemer, and a Burgman, so 8 people on 6 bikes.

McKinleys Lemans was perfect.   Wish I had a better picture ..

Mikes Convert is a Road Warrior of the warringest kind:

Always better when the girls mix in too, some good riders here

47 degrees up on the Parkway, but still smiling because theres an electric liner in there .

These things just make you want to laugh when you sit on them for some reason

Wait, is she laughing or trying to convince me to get one ?

We even let Ed and his Beemer foregather with us.  Tolerance and Diversity

Ronkom organizes these little events

Some of us took the long way home, along with a Model A .

Lovely up on the Parkway as always

The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel!

This COULD be what you see 3 seconds AFTER you head-on a Peterbilt I saw this really bright light .

A nice day.  Had to take your time a bit, since every single village in Virginia is having their Fall Festival or Harvest Festival or Migrating Hawk Watching and everyone was out on the road, including the proverbial old men in pickup trucks running 40 in a 55, but patience, patience ..

So, are we gonna see them

  Dusty

Well, yes, now that you've merged the threads....

And while you're waving the magic wand, can you do something about those black-bordered question marks that show up instead of the very obvious and proper English punctuation that was in the original Word document?
