2017 V7 III Racer ABS query.
« on: October 23, 2017, 10:06:39 AM »
V7 III Racer ~1400 miles from new. I've had 3 bikes w/ABS before. None were Guzzi's. All were in the mid to late 1990's.
As delivered the front brake was spongy, pulling nearly to the grip. I added adjustable levers, clutch and brake. The brake/right side was set to full out, #6 position. I tried bleeding at the single caliper, to no avail. The fluid level is slightly low. I then bound the lever to the grip for ~30 hrs. which helped. I did it again for 35 hours and it was slightly better. Yesterday, during the bikes' 1st spirited ride and perhaps 40-50 miles out, I lost the front brake. I nearly stood on the rear brake (which had performed quite well in the past), but never felt the ABS kick in. I did feel the rear tire skid and waggle a bit. What to do, please.  TIA,   R3~
