Metric Threads Used on Classic Guzzis
« on: November 19, 2017, 06:00:23 PM »
Where can I find a list of the metric threads used on a 1976 LeMans, or Tonti framed bikes of that era?
I would like to supplement my inventory of metric taps and dies.
I would prefer to avoid buying a set that contains much of what I have, won't fit much on the bike, and still leaves me short on some key fasteners.

It's in the V7Sport/S/850T/T-3 Service manual, every nut & bolt, should be same for early LM.

McMaster Carr is a good source for industrial supplies.  Quality and reasonable prices.  When I was a buyer and today, I purchased many of my perishables and mill supplies from them.  Buying from a Big Box or local auto supply store will get you unknown quality.  This company supplies to big name companies that demand quality and quantity.  Just my opinion and experience.

And you can buy a piece of steel cut to length and delivered to your door.  They have engineering drawing and specification on nearly all items they sell.

I don't see the one hex that vexed me recently on a ride.  The 12mm hex I found on the clutch cable....

MSC is another good industrial supply place. Got a lot of their tooling when I ran a tool room for a machine shop. Their sales flyers often came in handy when I wanted stuff for personal use.
yeah, I might be addicted to brake fluid. But I can stop any time I want.
