OMG that's a tasty looking bike,,, I could go with a 2 up saddle for myself,,, but I imagine the deep dish of the solo seat would help hold your a** in place when you twist the throttle, lol.

Any chance of throwing up a photo from the exhaust side,,, some times that's a weak spot on the Grisos.

I love the laid back, black treatment everywhere,,, really contrasts well with the orange,,, blends very nice overall.

Anxious to hear detailed riding reports, and if the legendary chassis stands up well to the extra power.

Very well done, kudos to all involved.

Much too early to say Peter, what I do know is that even in its primitive form it does have, as expected, very nice low end torque. With the 'Stab in the dark' arse numbers map that was slipped in it romped away from me at lower rpm. Yes, Mark is considerably lighter than my porkiness but even so, I think we were in the same gear and he was pulling away satisfactorily on a motor with 50Km on it.

No, it's not a 'Bussa Beater', obviously but bugger me it has the potential to be fun.

Mark -

Looks fantastic!  After all of the work you have done to help the Griso crowd, you deserve to have the most unique (and possibly the best performing) one.

That is simply Drool-licious!  Looks amazing!  Great work putting that special bike together!

Time for a TV show...Customize your Guzzi!

Just out of curiosity, was it an 8V engine in it before replacing it with the 1400 Roper edition?  Do you notice any difference in how much more or less heat it gives off than the original motor?

The bike was yer bog stock 1200 at the beginning. It's come a long way from there. Mark's never ending quest to shed weight has led to the removal of a lot of *Normal* Griso bits, most obvious being the side plates that hold the footpegs but virtually anything that could be ditched or lightened has been.

Most noticeable difference over the 1200 motor is, as expected, low end torque. It just tractors at the bottom end and that is before any fine tuning of the map.
