Okay. Here's what you do. Take a support vehicle with the kids. You and your hubby take shifts riding your bike. You have helmets for the kids. If you go with a bunch, then you and your husband can round robin with other riders in a group, the kids too. I'm okay with you folks riding my SP1000. I'm pretty sure Fay would be okay with you riding her Scout. Can't speak for Richard and his 1400 Cali but he does have a V7 II.
"Jus' tryin to haalp" Take the kids fishing. JJ has the info.
Lots of great fishing in Oak Creek Canyon...and there is even a "Trout Farm" there as well...the kids would LOVE that! Catch a trout...they gut and dress it for you right there....then grill yourself or take it down to The Heartline Cafe in West Sedona, and for a nominal fee, the head chef will make "Trout Almondine" for you and the family!! Mmmmmmm-BOY!! :1:
Nothing like a kid catching their first fish then eating right away.
...at the Trout Farm in Oak Creek Canyon...they also give you rods, reels, and BAIT!!
That would be Sedona's, right? We visited there on the way back from a Cub Scout trip to Flag's ice caves in '11. The kids loved feeding the fish, but we didn't stay to catch any. At about the same time we did catch and release at Cesar Chavez Park, here in Phoenix. Our eldest might remember, the middle boy won't and our daughter was still a babe (born in '11).
The Yelp reviews are interesting to read. You can tell that they have experience working with tourists.
Yes, the Trout Farm is on the right, just outside of downtown Sedona on SR89A on the way to Flagstaff, in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon... :1:
Now we know where the last Tiger was killed....(obscure Brautigan reference!)
Of course Tony, unless one is familiar with the writings of Brautigan...no one knows what in the hell you are talking about!! (LOL)
My grandfather was a Confederate general from Big Sur, and I've always thought Sedona was made of watermelon sugar...Is that "The Ballad of Springhill" I hear in the background?
Reservations made. See y'all there.jdg
It's already almost Feb... and May is just around the corner!
I believe we will have these folks from historic Cottonwood, AZ cater our Sat. night dinner again...but this year remind them to BRING MORE BBQ SAUCE!!! :1:
Any solo riders interested in sharing a double queen room at the motel? $44 sounds better than $85...PM me.
Remember, BBQ sauce is served on the side and used sparingly. It's all about the rub!
