The aforementioned add was done for the same outfit my husband bought his Honda from, not by the manufacturer.

Here is a link to other spots by the Parsons Agency, scroll down to find the adds for Go AZ/Scottsdale HD which are somewhat humorous.  I appreciate the creativity if not the message.

It is a cool ad, but the message could be seen as "buy a lifestyle (buy a personality) ... get a Harley."

You mean as opposed to all that other genuine advertising out there that ISN'T saying the same thing?!?  :boozing:

I don't know, Kev.   Mostly, I'd not care to see Moto-Guzzi go this route. Would rather see Guzzi advertise it's rich racing heritage,
and I personally, would take away no illusions of podium grandeur..

I think I'm saying that:

1. Advertising on a whole takes this sort of road and sells brand/idea/image. And the most successful ones do. Maybe that's not a coincidence since the successful ones speak to the meanest qualities in the first place.

2. What road should Guzzi take is an equally interesting and maybe obvious question. It speaks to some important questions. Do we WANT Guzzi to succeed? Would success mean the same feelings some have for Harley?

Since I very much separate image and reality I have no problem or worry with Guzzi appealing to the masses. I can tell the difference between an actual product and marketing BS. But the BS can be important to supporting the actual product.

You make sense as usual, dam you :boozing:
I want my Guzzi Company "only successful enough". (Certainly, financially sound)
With the only expectations of my goose the ones l impose upon it.
I can't really explain it better than that.
