I am following REHAB / PT instructions..."to the letter!" Don't want to go through this again in my lifetime...

Surgery was May 18th...now June 21st....33 days ago...Cleared by my doctor yesterday to STOP wearing the dreaded IROM brace!!

Now working on strengthening exercises with light weights.

Will be RIDING again very, very soon! DATIL or BUST!!

Cleared today to RIDE once again...by both the doctor AND the Physical Therapist!!

So, maybe a short 50 miler this Friday morning on either Moby Dick...or..."The Yellow Horse!" Wish me luck!

I would not wish this issue on anyone...and 39 days was a lot of pain and suffering...

This is not my first surgical rodeo, and at the end of the day, I would like to believe that at 63... I am still one tough little biker!!

I am a little nervous...but will file a report on my 50+ mile breakfast ride this Friday morning...on either Moby Dick (2014 Victory Vision) or The Yellow Horse...my '98 Centauro GT.

Despite the 90+ degree temperatures, I completed a 50+ mile jaunt this afternoon down to historic downtown Cottonwood and back on "Moby Dick, the 871-pound Great White Whale."

I figured if I can muscle that Orca, I'll be able to ride my Centauro GT next. My left arm felt good and it felt GREAT to get "In The Wind" once again!! :1:

Despite the 100+ degree temperatures, I rode "The Yellow Horse" for the first time today (52+ miles) since surgery 48 days ago. My arm felt good, but the RIDE felt even better!

However, it was frickin' HOT out there...and it wears you out!!!

I am all set now for the New Mexico Guzzi Rally now in Datil Aug. 17-19

Still doing PT / REHAB once per week....but at least I can drive a car and RIDE now...I will be fine in time...Not an ordeal for the faint of heart, however. Ripping a tendon off the bone is not fun...

I cannot imagine trying to wheelie the Centauro! One of the young buck riders recently sat on my bike and commented:

"It is like straddling a cow..."
