Supernatural Guzzi Sighting!
« on: June 17, 2018, 11:03:43 AM »
So, I was catching up on my favorite guilty pleasure when I caught a glimpse of what I thought to be a Guzzi.  At 40:30 (season 13, ep#7) a character bursts out of a door and hops onto a motorcycle with a suspiciously familiar shape.  I attempted to grab a screenshot but Netflix must have a block in place because all I got was black.  I did, however, manage a few bad cell phone pics.

Previously they used an old Commando but that doesn't seem to be the case here.  Of course, I could be completly off base, so I'll leave it up to the experts.

I can't say I have a favorite.  I watch a ton of BBC shows, love sci-fi, police dramas, some zombie stuff, and good vs. evil in its many forms.  The only thing I really can't watch is slapstick humor (stupid just to be stupid) where idiocy is showcased.

I waited 5 years to see the movie. "All is Lost".  Having spent a working life at sea and lived on a sailboat for 5 years,
I think they did a hell of a good job.  Redford has remarkably few lines, there is no one else in the film to talk to
so I can't find fault with the dialog.  The most memorable line is a four letter explicative.
The whole thing is so true to life and death at sea.

A number of folks have told me that "Supernatural" is a great show. Now I'm going to have to check it out...

Ok, Monty Python (I'm a lumberjack...) is an exception to the rule. :thumb: Loved Doc Martin and Hinterland is fantastic!

Supernatural is enjoyably unpretentious, in fact, they've had several episodes where they spoof the show in some way.  Plus, with 13 seasons, you can binge to your heart's content.

On a similar (but not the same) topic, I came inside to cool off after some yard work and the Bruce Willis Sy-Fi epic "Surrogates" happened to be on the tube.

About a half hour into the flick, there is a police car chase involving a character on a . . .

Wait for it . . .

Guzzi.  I didn't get a good look at it, but it resembled a Griso (CARC, both exhaust pipes on the left).

And the sound effects didn't make it sound like a Harley or a 4-cylinder.   :thumb:

"Friends" often contained Matt LeBlanc's bikes in scenes.   A recent episode I was rewatching had a Guzzi leaving the coffee shop they're always at.  It appeared to be an older California possibly.
