Don't consider myself a "Geezer"...a little weird..maybe.

"Its a long long way to Tipperary"

A little?

Native, borne and raised, (and educated).

They call me Sir here!

on my way.....

Sir

The 1923 in your user name intrigues me.

What is the significance?

It was a good year!?..well more than that.

Might have to check the  SLs (statutes of limitations).....Ha! (Not really, they probably have all expired), but it is a bit complicated and would be of little interest aired here. However thanks for the interest.

It would be my pleasure to recount the story in person!!

Cheers,

:-)

OK,

I'll get the 411 at GRIT.  Don't worry Turnip knows all the local law enforcement and Slicer can provide personal security services .

Cheers,

Beaver,
Slicer called and wanted to know the following: will the food at the GRIT rally be non-gma, lactose free, fat free, low-carb, organic and vegan?
I told him to call you, but he said when he calls, you hit him up for a date!

I started my new job last week, and told them I need that weekend off. If all goes well, I'll be riding up on the new to me Stelvio that I just picked up yesterday.

Tex,

Ask Slicer if he thinks the food would taste good if it was lo-fat, no carb, lactose and gluten free?  This is Texas.  WE EAT MEAT!  I know he's tryig to loose weight, but tell him he can bring his protein shakes and bars.  By the way, I only ask him to meet me at the Dairy Queen because he owes me money!

Dusty, if Slicer doesn't pay back the money he owes me, I might have to do more than smack his head.  Hope he has a good set of crutches that'll hold him up! :whip2:

Come on down to the Northeast Texas pines woods to enjoy this terrific rally.  I will personally refund you rally fee (none) if you don't have a good time.

Ride some twisty roads to some interesting small towns.  See a museum built entirely of salt.  Eat world famous hot links in Pittsburgh.  Hang out, chitchat, tell some lies, and eat some excellent food.

Don't miss this one!

Yes, come on and experience the GRIT rally!  Hey, I now have electricity, air conditioning, and hot water!  What more could you want?  If you don't feel like pitching a tent, well, there's a couple of storage benches and a swing that folds down into a bed.  Don't miss it!

Beaver,
I ran into Slicer last night at the Mensa meeting and he wants to know if you will have the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle for him at your rally.

Brrrrrr, it's time to break out those heavy winter coats and sweatshirts.  A cold front came through last night and our temp got down to about 60 degrees!  Will be the same tomorrow morning!  Fall is here!

Tex, tell Slicer that I'll see if my 7-year old grandson has any of the New York Times crosswords that he hasn't yet worked that he can bring to the rally.  Slicer better come this year.  He's been promising year after year and hasn't made it yet.

Hey Tom, I recently read on a Lindale site that one or two BBQ joints are coming into town soon.  Tex, one of them is where Catfish Heaven used to be.

Be here in a week!

For the BBQ inclined, there is always Bodacious Bar-B-Q, southeast of Lindale (just south of Tyler State Park). Should be less than a 10 minute ride. I've eaten there several times and never went away hungry or disappointed.

Mmmmmm, Bodacious is good.  It's lunchtime and I'm hungry too.  Hey, Johnson, are you gonna come on over this time?  It's gonna be at my house - corner of County Rds 431 & 474.  Driveways are on 474.  Come in your car if you don't ride, we don't care!  Lots of parking available.  Exit Jim Hogg (CR 431) off I-20 and you'll see it a mile or so up the road on the left.

I thought I might come by Saturday to visit with everyone and bring you some prizes for the Drawing on Sunday. I thought about camping, but the "Fiberglass Tent" that I'm using these days takes up a lot of room.

Last year, I went to WalMart for oil and the locals there told me about Boldacious but there sense of direction and time to get there was off.  They said that it was on the other side of Tyler about 20 minutes away.  Went to Pink's in town.

GRIT trivia How many are aware that a certain Guzzi rider wanted to cal it GOAT Guzzi Owners Association Texas.  Isn't GRIT better?

Tex

I thought you went with GRIT on account of the other suggestion, Guzzi Owners Near And Distant Sleepover was too long for the arrow sign pointing the way, and the guy making the signs refused to abbreviate.  But I may be thinking about something else.

Hey y'all, weather looks good for traveling Fri, Sat, and Sun.  Only chance for rain at this point is Saturday night.  If we need to, we can move our sleeping bags inside the house or the large dance studio to stay dry.  Bikes can be parked inside a garage.  Don't let a little forecast of scattered showers scare you off!  See ya soon!   Beaver

Richard T arrived yesterday evening!

My house is on the corner of CR 431/Jim Hogg Road and CR 474.Be sure and go in one of the driveways on the side street, County Road 474.  Your GPS will apparently take you to my neighbors driveway on CR 431 and then you have to cut across their yard to get to my yard.  I have 2 big driveways on CR 474! I will have a banner & flags by my driveways.  Look for them!

See ya soon!
