No riding, but skiing conditions were absolutely fantastic!  :thumb:
Blue sky, no wind, just below zero C, well groomed tracks, abundant snow....
(this photo from earlier this winter, much longer shadows then)

Those could be the trails in Whitehorse. I do miss skiing. (taken off the fun menu beyond my control).

Great afternoon in Northern IL. 54f and sunny.    Roads still have plenty of salt,  but who cares, it washes off!   The Red Arrow did not disappoint!  Sorry no pics, but like I said it's northern Il so just picture flat and brown.

50s here and sunny.  I took the trike to town and came back the long way.  Thanks to the members here who helped me sort out the cruise control.  It's working perfectly and I predict it will be a real asset on the long hauls ahead.  I have the speedometer within a mph of the GPS.  Unfortunately, it's too dim to read in bright sunlight.  I might have to do a serious redesign of the dash (again) to improve that.  The sensor magnets in the front wheel rotor buttons are staying in place with simple friction so far.

Well... since you asked. Yes I rode about 200 miles, mostly street, on my 701 Enduro this morning. There's snow at about 5,000 feet here. I wanted to go up Palomar Mountain on a dirt road from the North (hoping to get a little snow ride), but the gate was closed about 1/3 of the way up, so I turned around.

I explored a few offshoots, looking for a way around it, but the roads ended.

So I went to the desert instead.

Today was my test of the steering stabilizer that I installed last night. I'm glad to say that it works great on rocks and sand.

It also steered my right into Mom's Pie Shop in Wynola where I enjoyed this hot Chicken Pot Pie. This pie shop is about 10 miles from Lake Henshaw, site of the (annual?) San Diego gathering.

I was also testing my Giant Loop Great Basin saddlebag on the 701 in anticipation of some future offroad touring. I loaded it with tools and various other heavy items. And still had room for two frozen pies. Chicken, and Apple Crumb. Still frozen solid when I got home.

A great day, even though I missed going over the mountain on the dirt road. Next up for the Husky: install the "dongle" that permanently disables the rear ABS, then think about using Tubliss system and what tires to go with it.

Finished the paperwork for the annual inspection of the MonoColt and flew instead. It was good for me.  Still have to try out the Monza's new Wurth progressive springs and FAC dampers on the front end. Maybe tomorrow..

Yesterday, I went down to Bob's BMW to watch the "Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route" movie and enjoy a day out in general. On the way home it started snowing/freezing raining/raining.  Not cold enough to amount to anything, but really had me wondering what today was going to be like. It did finally clear off around 5pm, but for a while, it looked like this outside my window.

Drove to our monthly breakfast this morning - only 30 degrees with a stiff breeze when I left. Got lazy - didn't feel like putting on all those layers just to go to breakfast. Just after lunch, it was ~ 50 and the wind had died down a bit, so I wheeled out a customer's V65 (the one that had grenaded the right cylinder) and rode my usual test loop on it. Almost there, needs a little more tuning.

Parked that and pulled out the '69 Ambassador. Clear and sunny now.

Headed north up into central PA - Blue Ridge Summit, Michaux St. Forest, Shippensburg, Scotland (Yo Lance!), Fayetteville, Chambersburg, Upton, Nova, etc., back into MD and home. 140 miles total, very enjoyable, almost no traffic on the backroads. Just the way I like it. Stopped to take some photos of two crumbling stone arch bridges along the way.

On Valley Camp Rd., St. Thomas Township:

Just off of 416, northwest of Cearfoss, MD:

Sorry, it was just cruising around the locality and three landings to a full stop for currency requirements.

My relatives have always questioned my love for motorcycling since I have scoliosis and endured multiple fractures and damaged meniscus of my left leg/knee...I always tell them I feel so much better after a long ride/trip than I ever do sitting around the house...hard to convince non-riders about the therapeutic value of the symbiosis between man (sorry GuzziGal) and machine...something in the brain/tool connection there...
