Griso Hot Leg

Ok, so I got stuck in a huge traffic jam due to a Santa Claus run and I thought my left pant leg was going to catch on fire.
Anyone have ideas how to keep it cool like an oil cooler fan or otherwise?  The left cylinder is closer to my shin because the cylinders are slightly offset and I'm 6'1".  Keeping my left foot further back on the footrest helps a bit.  I don't care for the Knight footpegs because they feel weird to me and I sold them.

Yes, it may be possible to put a Norge belly pan, and fan set-up on it. It would be pretty low to the road.

I split lanes.  Sure the Griso is wide but it's do-able.

Is this more of a feature of the 1200? My 1100 never seems too hot.

Never experienced hot leg syndrome on the 1200 SE either.

When it gets really hot I find my right foot cops a a baking from the air through the oil cooler but not my knees or shins. Having said that I don't spend much time in stop/go traffic either.

 Switch up "prop leg" at frequent stops maybe?

Yep, I am a right legger.  That's possible and easy to change up.  Or I could choose not get stuck in traffic again.
There is heat wrap on the pipes too.  I'm going to get them ceramic coated soon.
I used a FLIR on it during the heat wrap process and the exhaust port was slightly cooler on the wrapped side.

The best way to get an 8V Griso to run cooler is by using titanium headers. They pull a great deal of the heat out of the heads. I am not kidding.

I recently bought a set of Arrow Ti headers on Ebay but amazingly they escaped the factory without final polishing and looked like crap.  They usually run about $500 just for the head pipes.  Way too pricey.  The quote for ceramic coating was $180.  Too bad the stock finish doesn't seem to last long

Ti headers aren't polished. Ceramic coating negates the reason for buying them. They're supposed to to turn a nice shade of purple.

My left foot would get hot unless the bike was moving. I didn't like the feel of one hot foot and one normal foot. I had the full exhaust ceramic coated by Jet-Hot and this solved the problem.

the sole of my right riding boot detached last year even though I am a left footer

I guess the oil cooler dump lots of hot air on the right boot but I can't feel it at all

I probably misspoke.  The welds weren't finished.  They looked nothing like the picture that Arrow supplies.  It looked like a 3rd grader did it.  It was overstock that was returned to the US distributor who simply relisted them on Ebay for half price.
