Lebanon, IN to Tallahassee on the raTi
« on: September 25, 2016, 06:28:07 PM »
Was on a paid motorcycle trip to Meadville, PA then had an emergency call to a customer in Lebanon, north of Indy. Got that finished and decided to ride down to Tallahassee to see on old friend. So loaded my GPS............ and away I went. I rode through Rome, GA many times but this was the first time I stayed the night and checked out Broadway. Pretty cool town. And on all the travels I have done, 49 states, Canada, Mexico and a few places in Europe, I never saw a peanut farm!

Sorry about the sideways pics. Photobucket sucks. They were sideways, I corrected and saved in photobucket, replace original and they come out sideways anyway.

When I first looked at your photo of the peanut farm I thought they were potatoes. Those sure look big in your photo.

Funny... I thought those were potatoes too. Sounds like you had a great ride, and thanks for the photos. Question about those saddlebags... do they fit a helmet?

They will fit a Nolan N30 ok but not my Schuberth 3/4. The large Givi bags hold more than these do.

Thanks for the reply to that. I've always wondering if those were big enough. I have LS2 OF569 3/4 helmets which may be on the chunkier side like the Schubert.

I used to do it whenever I could.  I worked out of Lynchburg, Virginia and had a project site in Berwick, Pennsylvania.   The company didn't care how I got there, but they paid $.51/mile for my travel costs.   No tools to carry, so a week's worth of clothes went into the California III bags and off I went.

There are a LOT of pretty roads on the way up there, and getting paid for riding was icing on the cake ....
