Hi Everyone, it's been a while so I guess my account and posts have been deleted from Wildguzzi. Anyway, I had a motorcycle related accident on May 28th, so here are the pictures of my Shoei helmet which did it's job wonderfully.
Caberg Trip. I've been riding since 1952, this is the most comfortable quietest helmet I've ever had.
Hey Creaky, I'd like to see your helmet from 1952 ?
Helmet??? You gotta be kidding! I did, some years later, get a motorcycle lid, it looked a lot like this.
My uncle Fred was taught to ride a motorcycle when he enlisted in the Army during WWII and served as a courier. Thank goodness, he was one of the lucky ones that made it back to the farm. As soon as they were available, he bought a Harley 45 and toured the USA, brought back a wife from New Mexico. He continued to ride until he was 90 years young....ALWAYS on a Harley. I don't recall that he ever wore a helmet until around the middle sixties, always had on a cap with the Harley logo on it. When I was a young teenager, he frequently came by our house and took me for a ride. He treated me to my first Big Boy hamburger, I hadn't even heard of a Big Boy up to that time. I still miss him. RIP Freddy.
