rare, some had funky forward pegs instead of floorboards, and some had a tach.
It seems like the G5 gets no love. I've wanted one for a while and I'm curious why so few people seem to have them. Are they relatively rare or do they posess flaws I'm not aware of? I probably see a dozen SP's for every one G5 on Craigslist and Ebay. A G5 set up exactly like the one below with a set of floorboards would meet my current Guzzi needs perfectly.
They are just an SP in different clothes. I have had two SP's and a converted convert all great bikes. The Converted Convert had a windjammer III and a hang 2 king queen saddle, ugly but the most comfortable bike I have had.
Overall, it's robust, versatile, affordable and pretty much unknown, under valued and under appreciated.
hellomy name zari from israel like you i had one v1000 g5 model 85 just finisihe to make some genral maitnanace and put him on the road , excellent bike big monstaer not economy , but i love'it :PICS!: :+=copcar
I had one and turned it into this. And then some one killed it. A sad day indeed. A great bike in many many ways.
just to add to the revival of this thread, here is a G5 in Police form that popped up on the Eastern CT craigslist. I think the dog should go with it!:http://newlondon.craigslist.org/mcy/3103406886.html
