Got a summons for jury duty..
Still dealing with the SoCal back injury. Dave the doc gave me some drugs, said to get an MRI if I wasn't much better today. I'll be getting an MRI today. Called the jury duty lady and begged off.As far as I'm concerned, it's a civic duty, and I wouldn't have minded going. <shrug>
I don't remember the rim road you speak of though.
Goes from the top of Gebbies Pass and follows the old volcano rim and is actually part of the Summit Road. Used to be able to go all the way through to Sumner but that end is still closed due to rock fall danger, so now it is just back down Dyers Pass road which goes from Christchurch over to Goverors Bay. Narrow in places but a nice ride. A lot of cyclists frequent it so it pays to be a bit cautious.
Found out I have a blown disc in my back.
Found out I have a blown disc in my back. After last March's extended chat with the Grim Reaper ("Oh, sorry.. wrong spelling. Didn't mean to startle you.") I'm beginning to feel a little old. <shrug> Meh, I'll get over it and be riding in no time.
Made it to 75 last week and still in good health.Decided to retire at the end of semester and gave notice.Looking forward to retirement and more traveling to Guzzi events.
Adopted Birdy, a 2 year old border collie mix today. He somehow has a very gentle way about him, even though he went through hell from neglect. Had a very good grooming at the Petco and now he looks like a show dog. He's sleeping next to me as I write this. So far, looks like we brought a good soul into the home.
Tell Birdy that Jack says "Hi"! Jack highly recommends that Birdy have a regular job to do and LOTS of face time ... !Lannis
Thanks Lannis and Jack. Birdy and my son Leander say hi.
