Whore's Purse anyone?
« on: October 25, 2016, 10:10:30 PM »
Most people know that I think the V7 Racer is a horrible, gaudy, little eyesore. Well, guess what? I just bought one!

Super clean, serviced by me since new, single TB model with Ago pipes plus the originals and some other bling. It was just too good an offer to pass up.

It also means we now have a development bike for MUIG3 maps so Mark can have it in Wagga for a while and do 'Bear on a tricycle' impressions while fine tuning the maps.

Woot! Woot! Go Me!

Well who would've thunk it!
Now all you need to do is change the wheels to cast, get rid of the rearsets, put proper bars on, paint the tank and you'll have yourself a lovely V7 Stone

The *Ugly Seat* has long flown back to its country of origin where the owner loves it!

It'd be comfortable for watching television with the wife in a narrow room, but on a bike? Surely not.

Mate! I have to sell it again once it's served its purpose. I was thinking more about pulling a string vest over the tank and spraying it with dog-dick pink rattle can! Beeootiful! :thumb:

It didn't work for me. I've now got a Corbin which is both better looking and comfortable. That thing always made me feel like I was sliding backwards.

Not to shabby for, (Cough!) $5K. Most of the ones advertised on Bikepoint etc are about 12K so they most likely go for between 10-10.5. It also comes with a dual seat, a rack, the original pipes, heated gripules, the stupid seat cowl, a cover and a pair of enormous comedy breasts! Nah, I made the last one up.

Now I have to get some skinny jeans, a pair of those stupid bud earphones, grow a beard and get a wig maker to make me a 'Man Bun'. I suppose I could even become a vegan.

Maybe not!

What a deal, looks like a lot of extra farkles as well.  :thumb: Too bad he didn't throw in the skinny jeans too, I've heard they aren't cheap. Maybe you and Mark could split a pair,          literally.

Forward controls? Maybe a suicide clutch and a tank mounted gear change? Acetylene lights? The possibilities are endless!

Pete, with all its farkles, it is a beautiful little bike!  You've owned all sorts of big block Guzzis, so maybe some sort of rider review from you would be interesting.  Sort of a comparo between riding BB and SB Guzzis.  You do have a way with words that would flavor such a comparison.

Bob, my very first Guzzi was a V50-II, it was what got me into the marque. The V7 is essentially the same bike with one less brake and bigger forks. While I would prefer a better cylinder head and a more modern chassis there is nothing fundamentally *Wrong* with the current version, I'm just disappointed that the most important parts of any motorbike, the chassis and suspension, are so seriously neglected.

The fact that they have the bare faced gall to call the 'Racer' a *Racer* turns my stomach. It's more a personal values issue than anything to do with the vehicle.
