Mistral pipes
« on: March 19, 2018, 10:51:02 AM »
Been thinking of adding a set of Mistral exhaust to my V7II Stone. They are the carbon fiber ones. Just wondering how they compare to the Agostinis.

It's always purely personal. Sound. Look. Price. If anyone knows the true weight differential betwixt stock, Ago & Mistral it may help. R3~

The carbon fiber Termingonis on my Ducati dis-colored and got ugly after a few years. This was 15 years ago, so they may have improved, and maybe Mistral pipes are different than the Termingonis.

I have stainless Mistrals on the V7S - dB killers in. Louder and harsher than the Stainintunes & the Agostinins, which I prefer. The Ago's have more bass, a huge amount more bass without the dB killers.
I would get the Ago's  - they fit the Agostini headers, which you may eventually have to consider once the Italian chrome of the stock headers completely disappears.

Off the bike, I prefer the sound of the Ago's, then the Staintunes before the Mistrals. On the bike, riding, you get feedback with the Mistrals, constantly, but only you don't hear the Staintunes or Ago's over the wind & engine noise mostly, heavy gear & throttle use on twisty roads through forests & mountains being the delightful exception.

One of the guys at the dealer said he had some Mistrals on his bike, so I will have to see if I can check them out. I have heard the Agostinis and they do sound nice.

Had the Mistral x-over and carbon oval on our Breva 1100.  Loved the sound - and this with the DB killer out!
Had a Mistral can on our NTX also.
