Hi Dusty,

Have you guys temporarily reserved a block of camp sites already under the JN Smyth rally name, or I should make my own reservation?  Not having been to this park before, is this open or covered camping, or are there cabins also?

Thanks!  The Scenic byway looks like great riding!  I may just have to come up 1 day earlier!

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Dusty - checked again, but it looks like the earliest I can get there is Friday noon...I might go part way Thursday evening, but can't get out of work until after hours.  I might just have to detour to Hot Springs, Ark and then swing over to get some extra riding in!  Looks like fun...

Dusty you had better look at that project.  I paid the boy's at Tulsa $250.00 to do my (put sub-fram & floor boards) and he lost money but he stayed with the price he told me.  stared out one man then after about a hour to men for 4 more hours and I watched no brakes.Rudyr

they had some dam  problems with the springs of the center stand.  I suggested to put pennies between the spring coils to spread the sping out, he told me after the job that the pennies were to wide had to use small washers.rudyr

In hammock asleep 2AM. No stories, definitely no work.  If past experiences hold true, probably raining buckets by then.

Managed to get a room at Rocking H in Talihina.

Yes, I'm a tent wimp.  Prefer a real bed to go along with my aromatherapy and spa treatments, as opposed to sleeping on rocks.  Go ahead, mock me--but my nails will be looking fabulous.

Really looking forward to this.    As Dusty said before, this is some of the absolute best riding in the U.S.   Roads are well maintained, traffic is usually moderate, views are spectacular.

Actually , the bigfoot discussion that occurs at Cedar Vale every year is probably more contentious than any other topic

Bigfoot is only 20 miles from the OK Campout (not Cedar Vale KS) in Honobia OK on the Indian Highway.  They have the Bigfoot Festival this weekend.

It's also a pretty scenic ride from the OK Talihina Campsite to Honobia (Ho-NO-Bie).

BTW-  My brother-In-law is from there and tells me his cousin saw Bigfoot!!!!!!! !!

asphalt can be scenic.

you gotta watch the road.

Be careful, if you take that sign to the left......it's not paved and haven't got a clue how far the tavern is.........
