Some of the group may recall that I've been working sporadically (like an hour every six months) to diagnose and fix my '70 Triumph, which was wet-sumping. After replacing the oil pump and pressure-testing all the various pipes and passages, I finally replaced the oil pressure relief valve -- a two-minute job with a one-inch socket. Goal! This bike is so cool. It's a rider, not a show bike, with a ratty rattle-can paint job, but it (now) starts on the first kick and is a hoot to ride. Cheers!
You won this round, but that tinking noise you heard while the fins cooled was the little bugger 'splainin to the other machinery in the room the details of it's revenge. I've owned these things. I know.
I thought you had put a victory motor in your triumph??
We'd have to call that a Trickory.
