I am going to make it to this.  Don't know if I will be on the Stelvio (most likely) or the California (would seem somehow appropriate), but I will be there.  I am hanging out with my friend who lives in Oceanside, so we will ride up to hang with the crew.

If there are rides planned, some kind of itinerary would be cool!

See you there!

Advanced planning at a Guzzi NAR?  Are you new here?  :boozing:

There will probably be a couple of routes to the top of Palomar as well as some general fun road rides, but that's about the extent of any advanced planning.  It will all be sorted out Friday night after a beer or two.

See you there.

...and I'll be coming in from Carlsbad (next to Oceanside).  We could probably arrange to head out to Lake Henshaw together Saturday AM. And if you (and others) want to play in the dirt, I can be the tour guide on my Husky.

As for finding fun roads... leave the rally point in any direction, take any of the next several turns at random... there are no bad roads out there.

Hey Roy
We are putting together several routes for a Saturday ride depending on the length and speed.  Plan is to post them Friday and Saturday morning for people to choose which one to go on.

Yes, of course.  My perspective about mid-October in San Diego is being able to comfortably ride across the foreboding  desert from Phoenix to get there!

I've booked Cabin #11.  Not sure rather I'll bring the Sport 1200 or Scuds old LeMans.

Leaving for Colorado on 9/26  Rented a house in Pagosa Springs for some leaf
peeping in the San Juan's.  :thumb:

Thank you Sir!  I don't need a dirt ride even if I'm on the Stelvio.  I will be going to Baja to get that fix.  My buddy has a 501 Husky, and he gets bored on Stelvio friendly dirt roads anyway.

I did the dirt and street thing at my NAR, and was underwhelmed with the numbers on the dirt ride.  It was fun, but everyone who participated was local anyway.

Wow, I leave in a month! Cool, thanks for putting this together!

Thanks, Scud.. but we don't come out for less than 2 weeks. It's kind of a PITA to fly out there, and pretty expensive. You guys and girls have a good time..

Here is a route that will give you some lovely, tight back roads, a short section of dirt, and a 10 mile dirt road climb up Mount Palomar. All depends on what time you want to arrive at the resort. I'll send you a PM with contact details.
