I was so excited with all his superlatives, capital letters, hyperbole, and purple prose that I got a case of the Vapors and fainted.

I have my smelling salts with me now in case I see it again!

GTS300s are great scooters, but, he has this one priced about $1,000 too high.

I don't have an aftermarket exhaust on mine, but have several friends that do.  All newer Vespas have CVT so the engine revs to optimum torque and drones away - not something I personally enjoy listening to.

I purchased my '13 GTS, a stock fully loaded touring model with 3700 miles, for $3200 and couldn't be happier. :thumb:

I didn't know that I wanted a genuine Italian dragon red Vespa before I saw that listing, but now…..!
That's a beauty! Good for my wallet that Santa Fe is far away!

Then there are Lambrettas…

That's not an older Vespa.  It's only 5 years old!

For that matter, any large frame Vespa newer than 2006 has fuel injection, and for that reason alone can't be considered old in my book.

When I think of an old Vespa, I think 1980's and back.     Think 2-stroke, and twist grip manual transmission.

Here are some old Vespas:

1960 VNB1T

1960 150GS

1980 P200

2017 V7III Special
1977 Le Mans
1974 Eldorado
2017 Triumph Thruxton R
2013 Ducati Monster 796, 2013 848 Evo Corse SE, 1974 750GT, 1970 Mk3d 450 Desmo, 1966 Monza 250
1975 Moto Morini 3 1/2
2007 Vespa GTS250
2016 BMW R1200RS, 80 R100S, 76 R90S ,73 R75/5
76 Honda CB400F, 67 305 Super Hawk, 68 CL175

I paid too much for ours, $3,700 for a 2007 GTS250 with 3,300 miles in 2012.

You only paid 'too much' if it didn't live up to your expectations or keep your interest.  I purchased Gigi this last March and she is worth every penny.

I liked the guys ad copy - but a brand new one of those in red is only $7,049.00 list - so I think he is asking way too much.
