Steve, how many made it to the last MGNOC National @ John Day, Oregon?  I was there.   So was Pete Roper, among many others.

Planning on making it, now. The last time, I rode up from SoCal with Pete. Now.. that was a hoot!  Walking into a brewpub.. " Do you serve *beer* here?" Why, yes we do. "That's good for we will require *quite* a lot of it.." There was an epic party around Greg Field's camp one night.  :boozing:
I never did make it to some of the great riding around John day.. maybe with Dorcia with me this year I can do that. If anyone is on the fence about going.. Just do it.

I am considering starting from Whidby Island, taking the ferry from Keystone, hooking up with the 101 and heading to the Dalles via Forks, Aberdeen, and Astoria (FAA approved route).  Anyone up for that?

I'm also maybe interested in riding in with others on an alternate route.  The plan is to be on the trike.

Thanks, MM -- I may be taking you up on that.  It's been a while since we rode together.  I couldn't keep up on two wheels, maybe I can with three.   :cheesy:

It doesn't look like the ferry is cooperating for a ride in from any mainland port, so I expect to barge the trike to Seattle and meet it there some time in mid-June.  Since the trike is still in shake-down mode I'll be baby-stepping it up to proper saddle times and distances.  I might be flitting about the western states for a few weeks as I try to break it.  I expect the problems will be with handling and/or ATF getting hot.  The brakes are marginal but useable, and I'm very optimistic about its ability to hold speed on a long grade -- something I can't find out without finding a nice mountain pass on a hot day.

That's us ready to roll in the Alaska Leather Parking lot (Anchorage), headed for Dawson City, YT.  If I hadn't experimented with tires I might have kept up.

I was there at the last John Day national - - on a Honda.

This time I'll be there on Griso 2.0, the Razzo Rosso!

Would like to hook up with some Guzzisti from the Portland area for the ride out there.
