Less than two weeks away at Council Grove. Who is planning to go at this point? If you have not attended before it is a nice laid back rally in a beautiful area of Kansas. Nice campground with heated showers.

Oldest MG rally in the USA & world? At Council Grove, KS at Santa Fe Cove. Very nice campground with hot showers. Low key and a beautiful area, at least for Kansas.

Do we just show up and pay? Or is there an online site to pre-pay?

If you show up and camp Thursday night you will have to pay at the ranger shack for camping. If yo come Friday or later you will pay at the rally site. The rally is only collecting for direct camping costs. There will be a meal furnished Saturday evening. It is a fairly laid back type of rally.

Place: Santa Fe Trail Cove at the Federal Reservoir very near Council Grove, Kansas. Camping fee: Thursday is paid at the gate for early arrivals. Two night stay is $15 per person. Modern toilets, showers, electrical hookups and water available. Saturday evening meal as usual! gonna try to make it. I will ride the Norge. Wife , daughter and grandson will follow in the car. this will be a Saturday day trip for us(only reason they are going is it is my birthday and this day trip was my gift).

My daughter now lives in Iowa and her son is autistic, but he likes most anything with wheels. This is a practice run of sorts to see how he does, before she goes to the Iowa rally with us. We are all looking forward to our first summer days together.

For those that didn't make the rally, you are missing a great time. Perfect weather, no bugs, no misquotes, no flies. Brawts were served tonight, pancakes in the morning and pulled pork tomorrow evening. Where are you Okies?

Yep. Jeff had a motorcycle mag that had an article on the new v9s.

I took a bunch of pic of the biplane flying. Event was originally hosted in Oklahoma, but was moved to Junction city, Ks. I overheard someone else talking about the fly in fri night at camp and we decided to go up wed morning. Man was it worth it!

Radial engines RULE! Need to sort though the 40 odd pics. Cubs in various models, plenty of Stearman,
a super nice Waco, a Stagerwing, several pt17s, lots of general aviation planes to. A few bananzas, tripacers, decathalons, and many more. Took several take off and landing shots.

Was hard to leave town and not want to watch them fly over.
