I mean, we CAN know. All it should take is a proper thread gauge. No?

I use this hose: https://www.mcmaster.com/5235K55/ It's soft and flexible enough that it can be greased up and inserted through the metal holder fairly easily. I cut the end at a sharp angle which aids in inserting it through the holder.

I think the hardest issue to reconcile is the indentations in the front/bottom corners of the Norge tank, usually covered by the front fairing.
That is the main drawback to removing the large front fairing and going the single headlight option.

General Discussion / Breather hose on V7 Sport
« Last post by Air-Cooled on April 17, 2024, 07:43:45 PM »
Most folks with V7 Sports have replaced the breather hose that runs from the engine down the left side then under the bike. Why?  Because the originals have become as crumbly as a saltine over 50 years.  MG Cycle sells a Gates "replacement" hose  with an ID of 1/2" and OD of 3/4".  Although the ID does fit its connection from above with the oil breather, the hose is too big in its OD to pass through the hole under the frame. There does not seem to be a hose available for this which would need a 5/8" OD.  But you can get a hose with a smaller OD of 5/8" and an ID of 3/8".  So I spliced two hoses together, the larger coming from above and the smaller for the portion that goes under the frame using a brass connector.  You can see the splice in the photo below.

I guess we'll never know for sure about the thread size on Aprilia set screws, but I have a used signal coming to me in the mail.  Purple Loctite will be applied to all four screws.

I'd like to "like" all these!
The only problem I ever had kicking my Norton was when it backfired and the top of my knee caught the handlebar. (when points were a thing)
I'd rather step on a Lego, that hurt me.
