Guzzi sighting - I-90 & I-86 northwest PA - anyone here?
« on: June 19, 2018, 11:25:53 AM »
Saw a Guzzi on the highway this morning, about 7:00 - Interstate 86 eastbound, just east of the I-90 interchange north of Erie, PA.  Dark blue or black, pulling a white box trailer.  If it was a member, not likely that they're checking WG, but you never know....

Either way - safe travels....

Wasn't me... Color is wrong, my Cali Titanium is, well, that tan/brown combo she left Italy with and I see no need to change it. Also, Erie is a couple hours west of me... I'm more around the Finger Lakes. But I do tend to ride east on 86 heading to work.. at about 7am...

I'll keep you in mind if I get over there. However, from where I roam, there's that big "dead zone" of western NY between us. There just ain't much of anything between Olean and Jamestown... and it's a bit of a haul between those two points. So, unless I'm going to Erie, I don't venture out that way too often.

Oh, +1 on that - used to spend a lot of time through there when I worked on the road.  Quite scenic the first hundred times or so, beyond that, not so much....  The Osprey nests are kinda interesting along Kinzua, though....  We sometimes swing up through Little Valley &/ or Salamanca nowadays just for a change of pace.

We're going thru this weekend as a matter of fact - our nephew is home on leave from the Navy, so we're going out to Binghamton for a bit of family time.  The ol' Southern Tier Expressway does come in handy for that...

Agreed... and yeah, Bingo-town is quite a hike for you, but it does make the trip quicker. Just get on and go.

I'd say let's try and meet up, but my daughter is graduating highschool Saturday, so my weekend is kinda booked.

Tell your nephew I said thank you for his service, and hope you have a safe trip.

Everyone there & back again.  Not a bad trip, other than having to turn the wipers on & off every 2 minutes.  Glad we had the cage, although there were quite a few bikes out there, poor sods....

I passed along your thanks, & mine.  He's a good kid, & doing well.  Airframe mechanic for the AWACS planes off the G.H.W. Bush, Bear Aces Squadron, VAW-124.

We'll meet up one of these times - we try to get out there or meet in the middle a couple times a year at least....
