I have not been to any goose gatherings yet, & I may have to miss this one if work calls me " out of town " , but I wanted all of you that are going to know the roads are in very good  condition. From Ramona to Santa Ysabel all new pavement,  also, Dudleys bakery to Julian smooth new paving. Julian to lake Cuyameca good shape, & over the Laguna mnts. (Little windy yesterday ) nice road conditions.  Just road to lake henshaw yesterday  & there were mostly harleys & a few other bikes. Have fun out there. Also the hideout has been closed for quite a while, but when I stop by, they keep saying "it will open soon".

I have to bail too.  Work and life.  I'll be an official at the State High School Air Rifle Championships.  Getting out of here would be after the Ironman World Championships.  Not an easy trick and return the following Tuesday no easy feat doing stand-by.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉

Will take / post photos of the blessed event!! :thumb:   It should be fun...and certainly beats sittin' around on the couch!!

Definitely take pix for those of us that can't make it.   My dance card is full.  Weekend before, the Ironman Championships will be going on.   http://www.ironman.com/triathlon/events/americas/ironman/worldchampionship.aspx#/axzz5SuBqCmhf

I get paid for packing a camera dude.    Fun day.  Ride on the left lane as fast as you need to.  Flag through intersections by the police.  Pack your passenger riding backwards.  Food provided at different aid stations along the Kohala Coast by the different resort chefs vying for bragging rights.  Good food.   :thumb:

Wednesday before the NAR I have to be in Honolulu for a business meeting and the Tuesday after the NAR for the State High School Air Rifle Championships.  For those that don't know, I live in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island about 180 miles SE of Honolulu.  No such thing as driving between islands.     https://www.sportshigh.com/sports/air_riflery/tournament/2018

If anyone is looking for a cabin at the rally, I have one that sleeps 4 and I’m by myself.  I’m willing to share.  Just let me know.

Is there anyone coming down the greater I-15 corridor, besides me to attend this?  I am leaving on Wednesday the 17th, doing some cross country stuff on the west desert of Utah, and south of Caliente, NV then staying that night in Vegas.  Get up on Thursday and head down I-15 to O'side.

I will be headed home on Tuesday the 23rd from O'side and just straight shoting it home, about 760 miles or so.

Yeah, but I'll be doing it from the LA area, picking up I-15 around Riverside, and doing it on Friday.

Hmm, just stumbled on this. It looks interesting.

I'm not positive about being able to attend yet as I'm trying to setup a Lost Coast ride with a few buddys near the same time. But if that falls through this looks quite interesting.
OK, it looks like I can make this event. We ended up doing our NorCal Lost Coast ride earlier than I'd thought and it worked out perfectly.

I need to see how I want to do this, probably pitch a tent for Sat pm. I might also stay at a friend's house in Menefee Friday pm, haven't hooked up with him for awhile.

BTW, I've ridden this area a fair bit and yes the riding is quite good and Julian apple pies are awesome.

If I am not mistaken, there are 5-6 hotels / motels also in nearby RAMONA, CA... :thumb:

It's Wednesday, only two more days!

But I have a question. Monday I wanted to confirm my reservation. Called the reservation phone as well as the store and only a busy signal. Same yesterday and today even after store hours. Sent an email yesterday, no reply so far. Is there a better phone number for them than on their site?

Hey [Tom H] - I just sent you a PM expressing concern re getting enough roomies to help defray the cost of you booking Lucky #13.

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.
