ritratto-What tank did you have on that bike? It certainy was a very nice looking machine!
It seems like the G5 gets no love. I've wanted one for a while and I'm curious why so few people seem to have them. Are they relatively rare or do they posess flaws I'm not aware of?
I have a 79 G5 with a little over 8K on the speedo, thinking about selling it, I have way to many bikes and don't have time to ride it. It is a LA Police bike I found in a barn, Charlie did a ton of work on it for me including installing a new wiring harness from Greg Bender.Anyone interested ping me @ kwnsdn at gmail dot com and I will send you pics.
dan_s - Seems you have good tabs on the G5's in Israel and it's great that you are rescuing them. Do you have a photo of what they look as police bikes? Were they white and black like the US ones or different color?I like the last one you posted. Actually, I like them all!
Critter, do you have the correct year? I believe G5's were only made up to 1981.

This 'dumb' trick I learned here actually worked today replacing the kickstand spring on my G5.
