I should have checked first, the 850 Norge is 91 x 65 so the bore is 4mm less than the 1200's. I think ??

92 x 66, same bore as the 1100 - 92 x 80

Thanks Averb, that's a damn short stroke for a 92 mm bore isn't it ? Does it have to rev it's guts out ? Norge Pilot posted a video once on an 850 Norge and I must admit it seemed to pull very well. So dunno.

Yes they love to rev, the biggest issue is that in Guzzis infinite wisdom they chose to remove the inner plugs which combined with a conservative map gives less bottom end, so you have to give it some welly to get it moving

Thanks for all the responses !
I have  tried to google  photos of  V9s with the  V 7 fuel tank, and  I am not finding anything !
Do any of  you, have photos, or a link to  any photos , showing  that ?

I am just thinking, depending on where it sits, going by the length, wether  fitting the V7 tank, would still allow  2 up riding, or  if it turns the V 9 , into   a single seater  clip on racer ?

Cheers
Jan

Has this idea of mounting a V7 tank to a V9 fallen from favor? It still seems like a great idea.
