Well they got one thing right about the Bobber, it is a do it all bike, thank God! I am sick of over specialized bikes. You can cruise, take trips, just don't try 2 up long distance with stock seat.

The V9 is certainly the best looking of the trio.  Link to article?

I think they all look like fun bikes, but I lean towards the V9 too.

Of course the scout bobber is the most performance oriented machine.  Too small for me though.  If I am going to be on a small stature bike, I want to be tall in the saddle.

The Triumph 1200 motor is a real hoot to ride.

I think the engine in that Triumph Bobber is gorgeous.

I rode a Triumph Bobber on a test ride a few months ago, and yes the motor is really nice. And it runs even better than it looks, IMO. However...  It reminded me of the Indian Scout cafe' styled bike I rode, but not as extreme in riding position.. Could not wait to get off that Indian. The ergonomics were terrible for me. A mild forward lean with a long reach to the bars coupled with the feet forward controls had me bent into an extreme "C" position. That position coupled with the microscopic rear suspension travel had my backside and lower back wanting to surrender after just 15 minutes.

Talk of Indian coming out with a street tracker version with the scout engine has me encouraged that they may eventually offer a bike that I can't resist. Think adventure sport touring.

The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!
