Now I want a Harley.

In general, I don't like commercials.

But this one speaks to me, loudly!   Only 30 seconds worth ....

Thats  one of the best Harley commercial Ive seen! It never hurts to use a little humor in marketing a product.I guess, becoming "that guy" is what middle age men fear....driving a beat old mini van, domineering wife with curlers ragging on you...Yikes, A  Harley sounds fantastic!

Man I'm looking forward to being someplace where I can have a peek at this one. I always appreciate creative adverts, and from the comments it will be worth the wait.

:-)

I'll tell you two things:

1) It's a shame that Guzzi didn't come up with this ad; it would still be quite appropriate.

2) Most of us will be able to see ourselves right in the middle of that .....

Brilliant!!!

On a HD note i visited Buddy Stubbs Phoenix dealership this week to take in his great motorcycle museum. The HD dealer museum has a great selection of Harley and British motorcycles with a few Italian motorcycles. Leaving the museum I walked the line of new HD product, excellent paint and finish!  I explained to the sales man I knew nothing of HD but respected the strength of the brand. The salesman went on to tell me of the revolutionary changes in the motor; no less than 4 valves per cylinder and water cooling, my goodness what will they think of next, can we expect that new fangled overhead cam to be the next earth shattering inovation.

My wife makes me turn out the lights and crawls under the blankets before I pull her clothes off.  Maybe that is why I spend so much time in the garage with the lights on where the Guzzi is parked.

Yes, it could ... matter of fact, I don't think they're trying to hide that!   It's OK if you know it's happening ....

That's *every* ad, for *everything*. Beer. Cars. Hotels. Restaurants. Pop. Bicycles. That's all it's about.

THAT is why Harley is the best at marketing their product, even it was created by a local dealer!  Their marketing is contagious. Moto Guzzi should be so smart but we all know that and the factory either doesn’t know or care. If that was a Guzzi national ad, sales would double!

That one's not quite as good as the original post because you're supposed to sort of believe that Harley riders actually can pull off this sort of thing.   If (from outside the HD fantasy world) you look at this ad as total parody, it's pretty funny.

The OP is "middle age madness" stuff that many of us can relate to ...

This is the sort of thing that keeps me from taking the Motor Company seriously. “Gone Wishing” would be a more appropriate title...

My wife watched and enjoyed the commercials. She said even a  ho hum guy can feel handsome  on a Harley...And the last showed sober young men enjoying life...I agree....It's not reality but upbeat light entertainment.....H arley isn't out front hawking their product in those ads showing performance or durability, they are presenting a fun time image....You all don't like women and fun time?
