I haven't heard of oil pan guards for the V7, but I've had the same thought.
Let me know what you find.

Left side pannier?  Why not a tail trunk instead to balance load and wind resistance?  Just curious...

I'll install the left pannier frame and tail luggage rack.
Small stuff in left side bag and pile up larger stuff on luggage rack/seat.
I decided against a box on Scrambler. Soft luggage.

I’ve had a Storny for 2 years. Love it to bits. I only did the OEM pannier rack and added a Mosko Moto soft bag (it’s excellent, but in hindsight should’ve gotten the 35L rather than 25L—you can always use more space.)

For longer rides I also throw on an AirHawk seat and an Alaska Sheepskin cover...makes the mileage more bearable.

Other than that, bone stock. I’ve ridden her a couple thousand dirt road miles throughout New England, and a few trails that were probably inadvisable. But she’s been rock solid and fun, without so much as a loose nut, creak, or stumble.

The only thing I really miss (my other bike is a Super Tenere) is having a mini-socket plug to charge iPhone while riding.

Joe

nice unit but if you have the sump extender installed it won't work per my conversation with AF1.

The only mod I have is the HB centerstand.  It's a must if you want to lube your shaft splines.

Does anybody have the skidplate from AF1?  How is it secured to the sump or the frame?  Is it strong enough to support the weight of the bike when it becomes high centered?  I am thinking about getting one, but would like to make sure it's a functional mod instead of "just for the look."  Thanks

Just an FYI....
The "standard" V7 crash bars I ordered do not work with Stornello, due to double exhaust pipes.
...and so the search continues....

Looks like I am pulling the trigger on a Stornello, hope to get it this weekend.  Of course planning the modifications. I'm thinking the H&B rear rack that will take a top case, the Engine Guard mentioned in this thread from AF1, and likely 1-2" Risers. Of course also a charging port of some sort. Unless the V7ii has one? Any other common mods to the little beastie?

Did you drill out the exhaust baffle?  Was that for more sound or performance improvement?

GuziTech has a mid pipe cat eliminator for the Stornello ... I would think that and a Beetle map would be a decent improvement in how it runs.  (Cooler exhaust, more proper fueling, happier engine  )

I apologize, but I'm going to give you a vague reply on the exhaust.  I don't have the web address, but a guy here in St. Louis removed the baffle from the exhaust- it is somewhere from the local company 'Flying Tiger' motorcycles on Youtube.  Kind of a funny guy- I should drive down there sometime.

I did the exhaust mod. I have zero regrets. To me it sounds as it should now. It's not obnoxious in my book. I hear it when I'm going 70mph and it's music. Totally unique note.  Do it. Super simple.

If you don't want a giant bag, Pack Animal makes a hand made bag system that is extremely good quality and vintage looking. They aren't as big as the one shown above. The straps go around the seat/frame. The bags simply clip on to the strap. So you can just use one bag.

Personally I'm on the hunt to switch my exhaust over to the twin pipe design. I'm doing a bunch of mods on my bike to go more of the cafe route. I have a thread here somewhere.

Good luck. I personally love the bike.

I've got a Stornello with the Agostini oil pan guard mounted(perfect fit, looks good).
Also fitted the leather tank guard with pouch from Af1. Just love the bike. Looking to have heated grips fitted next and maybe upgraded rear shocks.
Congrats on your bike, they're awesome!

I've added the Guzzi Tech tank ring mount for a givi tank bag, a givi tank bag SW Motech 1 in bar risers the small Moto Guzzi rear rack and the gravel guard for the headlight. I've also added LED lights on the front and the tail light. I also accessed the TomTom power lead between the headlight and gauge cluster to power my USB port and LED lights in the front.

You must live where the humidity is low.  Unpainted drywall paper attracts mold here in the humid south because the paper absorbs moisture.  I'm amazed the drywallers didn't at least prime it.

Yeah, very low humidity except a week or two in the summer, and insulated so it stays a bit cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

I was out west for 4 weeks for work and even though it was their monsoon season the hi humidity was 50 percent.  I had to laugh.  We consider it comfortable if the humidity drops into the 70s.  LOL!  The constants here is that if you have anything leather it needs to be conditioned constantly or stored in conditioned air, and chrome pits unless you keep it coated constantly.
