Does not look good. I ordered three 6 packs and the UPS tracking site shows 8 pounds.  Guess it will go back.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is................. ..........

Your lucky.

My order of three  6 packs is only 7 pounds.
I think I'm getting 2 1/2 quarts.

Hi,

Last week I placed an ordered for Three 6 packs of oil and was  charged $51.21 on my credit card.

I just got a notification from Amazon that they are issuing a credit for $51.21 on my account.
Reason given is "Account Adjustment".

And UPS has a shipment coming my way.

Too weird.
Tracking shows it on the way, probably by tomorrow.
Weight is too low to be 6 qts of any liquid.
Order page shows a refund.
Interesting.

Guys;

There are ingredients OTHER than ZDDP that are used to protect your tappets in modern oils, and they have been there for years! ZDDP was simply the cheapest ingredient found to work for protecting metals in older oils. The motor oil industry has moved on and found new ways to protect your engine's metal to metal contact points. In fact the newer additives replacing ZDDP work even better at protecting your engine when cold as well as when hot. You can easily use the latest specification Redline oil in engines with flat tappets. You do not need, or even want, ZDDP in your modern Redline oil. The science has moved on from ZDDP as an additive and you no longer need it.

Maybe your uncle can explain why the oil specified by Moto Guzzi for the V7II, eni i-Ride 10W60, is rated API SG instead of "can be used where SG is specified".

Maybe he can explain what "meets or exceeds" means.  I've been told it means "more".  I've also been told that oil is made by specific recipes.  If my soup recipe calls for a teaspoon of salt, a cup of water, and to cook at 350 for an hour, do I "meet or exceed" the quality of the recipe by using a cup of salt, a gallon of water and cooking at 700 for half an hour?

According to David Rinefierd at ENI USA this oil is same as the old AGIP 4T but now also carries the JASO MA2 endorsement.  So if your book says ENI i Ride or AGIP 4T it is the same specification since it's the same oil.  I haven't seen the V7 II service manual but  there are two other statements that are in the other models' US editions:

1. USE HIGH QUALITY 10W-60 OIL

2. SAE 10W - 60 As an alternative to the recommended oils, you can also use brand name oils with performance that meets or exceeds the CCMC G-4 A.P.I. SG. standards.

I think we've jumped that shark

Wow, this is really getting weird! I got a tracking update , from UPS, the oil is out on the truck, for delivery today( couldnt find the package weight) , and then I get am email from Amazon, stating that they processed a refund for $34. What the heck  is going on? I copied and pasted the email they sent me...see below:

Item: Red Line Oil 11704 Synthetic Motor Oil 10W60 Pack of 6 Quarts
Quantity: 2
ASIN: B00CPAR57Y
Reason for refund: Account adjustment

Here's the breakdown of your refund for this item:

Item Refund: $34.10

We'll apply your refund to the following payment method(s):

AmericanExpress Credit Card: $34.10

We've processed a refund for the above order in the amount of $34.10. The refund should appear on your account in 2-3 days if issued to a credit card.
Refunds issued to a bank account typically take 7-10 days to reflect on the account balance.

Just to add to the weirdness....my UPS tracking account states that the 3lb. package (kinda light for 6 quarts) was "turned over to Local Post Office"...the seller was WesterPowerSports.. ..and the delivery date was pushed out to May 5-10....who knows  LOL

DrLapo, did you get any tracking/shipping emails from Amazon? I noticed you were one of the guys that placed your order early in the game, what seller did you purchase from n Amazon? I see a few different sellers there.

I just checked the weight on the package thats out for delivery today, and its 6 lbs.  Hmmm thats weird, should be 12 quarts of oil,  which should weigh about 24 lbs...The mystery should be solved here in a couple of hours when ups makes their rounds....will let you all know.

The seller was Award Products

I noticed that my shipping weight for 2 cases is 5.5 pounds.  Rather light for 3 gallons of oil.  Anyone one insist that Amazon just complete the order by sending the outstanding quarts.  Seems to me would cost more to send the received quarts back than they are worth.  It is their error so they should make it right!!!

I checked with UPS.
They have a package for me to be delivered tomorrow.
I'm getting full refund from Amazon so am I getting 2 qts of oil free?
I'll check my credit card activity.
This could be a royal pain in the rear

I ordered 12 quarts and just received a email issuing me a full refund ($34) saying the reason for the refund was "customer return" ?
But tacking says my order is scheduled for delivery tomorrow (5lbs).  So I guess I got 2 free qts ?

I am in the same boat, got 2 quarts instead of 2 cases of six each.  this happened twice, I got a second order of 2 more quarts. weird thing is the supposedly gave me a refund for the $34.10 to my Amex card  twice. I was going to contact Amazon but got a screen that stated since the seller gave me a full refund, I have no recourse, or something like that. I dont feel"right" keeping 4 quarts of oil that I didnt pay for......I guess all I can do is contact the seller and see if he wants them back......
