Stelvio gas cap lock swap
« on: March 28, 2017, 12:15:23 PM »
What's the trick for swapping gas cap lock cylinders?

My original cap didn't seal well, saturating the bottom of my tankbag with gas, so I replaced it, but now I have to carry two keys--one for the ignition and one for the replacement gas cap. It's a minor annoyance. I'd like to put the original cap lock in the new cap.

I disassembled the original cap, figured out how the the lock fits within, and transferred it to the new cap. All good.
