Just so you know, folks, Corbin seat owners are my #2 customer.  They don't like lots of rain.  Just sayin.............. ......

Different seat pan/different frame, kinda irrelevant to the V7.

Like I said, I've had ones that fit perfectly...

Nice to know.  My V7 Carbon came with a rain cover tucked under the seat.  Do you have a website?

Ok MMRanch proved to me the pin would probably not strip if I removed it and tried to shim it:

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ewildguzzi%2Ecom%2Fforum%2Findex%2Ephp%3Ftopic%3D97547%2E0&share_tid=97547&share_fid=72741&share_type=t

So inspired by that I backed it out (needed to use vice grips, none of my wrenches had a steep enough angle to clear the bottom or sides of the pan when on the post flange).

I backed it out one turn at a time until it latched, measured post height, and removed it to shim it.

There is 15mm of thread on the post, but I had to shim it ~7.5mm deeper to latch.

I Dremel'd the underside of the pin catch surface to extend it maybe another mm or so and reassembled with a small stack of washers.

I'm glad it latches. I just hope it's not too weak and doesn't snap the bolt or damage the base.

I still suspect most of the force on the seat with be vertical and not a lateral sheer force anyway. Will report back if any troubles.

Kev - if you encounter a lateral sheer force sufficient to pull the stud from the seat pan I suspect a damaged seat will be the least of your worries!

I wish Corbin made a seat for the 2023 V7 850.

I moved the seat lock from under the mounting plate to the top. Seat latches snugly. All day comfy. Riding this one the most now.

Nice!

I wonder if that would work on my Carbon as I still can't get the seat to latch on that one. I'll have to poke around.
