1.   Next to the black 2 pin connector for the GuzziDiag? is a gray connector with "MGMP" printed on the wire.  It has yellow, orange, white with blue stripe, and another white wire in it.  Anyone know what this is for?

2. Also, I searched for GPS connection and read where there is supposed to be a connector near the headlight.  Not finding it.  Is it there for the V7III?

3. Anyone have a digital copy of the wiring diagram that is legible when zoomed in?

I am trying to get familiar with the electrics on my bike because I am considering adding additional lighting and definitely want to add a GPS so I know what streets are coming up instead of having to wait until I can read the street signs.

Thank you for any information y'all can provide.

it should be in there but if it was put together right, it would not be easy to see as it's a live power lead, 'doesn't play well with water.

I believe I read somewhere that the GPS connector near headlight was on previous models to the III only.
I have a pdf of the wiring diagram, but unable to attach to this post. I'll try to message you.

2. not on the III for some reason. I put in a 5 prong relay and run the GPS and radar detector off of it.

Thanks.  I might use the USB connector to power the GPS once I find it and verify the voltage, and that it is switched.

If I add the LED driving lights I will go with the relay.

For V7 III - This from a user on the other forum. "Under the seat there is a spare plug which has switched 12v on it. It's there to accommodate an OEM Guzzi USB socket. Their USB socket price is extortionate. However, I'm using the plug to power my TomTom and an after-market USB socket. Will carefully secrete the wiring along the frame under the tank and mount both on my handlebars." There's a 15 amp fuse on the circuit - see number 5 in the diagram.

I hate to reply to an old topic, but since its related.....

Does anybody know if I can buy just the wire connector end that mates to this USB socket connector?  I hate to cut up wire harnesses and will be using this connector to power my GPS.

I may be misunderstanding your question, but if you need a cable to connect to the USB socket, why not get any USB cable and cut the other end off?  There's normally four conductors in a USB cable, you would have to determine which one is which with a multimeter.

I hope you realise that USB is 5 volt, not 12.  That's why you need an adaptor in the first place.

On one of my forums someone linked to a motorcycle connector website.  I'll see if I can find it.

I took an educated guess on TE Connectivity AMP Superseal 1.5mm 2 Position Plug Housing, 282080-1
it will be here by next weekend so I will let everyone know.

Kiwi Dave and Roy, I am not looking at adding a USB connector.  I am just looking to buy a connector that can connect to the 12V cable that would normal power this USB adapter block.  I want this for switched power that will  power my. (GPS without cutting into harness).
I am reading the V7 II's have a connector up behind the headlight for this, and the V7 III's have it under the seat.

The V7iii doesn't have it all.  That's an absolute definite!  I do have a TomTom plug and cable wich you may have for cost of postage from Oz.  I just replaced my TomTom with a Garmin Zumo.  I have used that 2 pin connector under the seat.  It provides 12v switched and fused.

Or you could just tap into the running light in the headlight.  It is a black wire, I would add a 2A fuse in series to your Tom Tom.  No need for a relay, the consumption of the Tom Tom will be very small.

the numbers above were the correct connector.  A quick search on Ebay I see that part number also comes up several emission items on a HD (and many other motorcycle/auto uses)

PS:  If you buy a pre wired connector, test it first.
plug it into bike and use test device (meter, test light) to see which led in your connector is Positive and which is Negative.

Mine ended up being Red was negative and Black was positive :).

Check First so you don't let the smoke out.
