Oh, yeah he is. Many covers of his songs are just vanilla to me. When he tells me something, I believe it..there is some serious emotion behind it.

Have you seen bob lately? I went to see him and Mark Knophler in Tulsa a couple of years ago. Well, Knophler was good. Bob’s voice was baaaaaaad. Stayed behind a keyboard the whole show. Sucked out loud. BUT- I have a bunch of his old stuff and listen to it often

I really like Bob Dylan's stuff, also. The Dylan/Prine comparisons are sorta irrelevant; we're pretty lucky to have them both...

I love John Prine's music.

My wife bought me Tree of Forgiveness on vinyl, for my birthday. He's just improved with age. I wish the same could be said for Bob Dylan.

Old enough to say I've done it, young enough to do it again.

"A Good Time," from "Sweet Revenge."

Amazing song writer, no doubt.

He seems to be one of those performers that draws energy from the audiance as he performs. A year ago last June I saw him at Red Rock. He played for at least an hour with his band, then played while sitting for about a half hour with Kacey Musgrave. He then did around another 45 minute high energy final set with the band. Great show!

Heard that he's been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Go to <rockhall.com> and vote. Had a little trouble getting my email verified since I don't do Facebook...
