Hmm, looks intriguing. Anyone  tried one of these yet, or know anything about this company? I hate to be the first one, but I think I like the looks and design of this better then the Skidmarx option. Opinions?

I haven't bought anything from Mark,  but I have been immensely impressed with his insight on a wide variety of subjects on his web site, from motorcycles to quantum physics to economic theory. Worth checking out even if you are not in the market for a windscreen.

I have a CalSci on a Can-Am Spyder.  Well-designed, accurate hole placement.  You might want to plan to smooth/polish edges a bit.  Unless they've changed, they come prettymuch with the laser-cut edges raw, or nearly so, and are quite sharp.
 Good customer service from the company, also.  Where sizes are offered, if you order the wrong height, you can exchange if you haven't scratched or "bugged" the shield.(Wrap it with plastic wrap and go for a first ride to check height, that way it won't get bug guts or other marks on it, preserving it's virginity{windshield condom?})

I have to wait until the Norge comes back from Heli-Bars before I can measure for the correct screen height and order one but I will report on it as soon as I get that done....

I too did not care for the Skidmarx for a couple of reasons so I went back to the stocker.   

Hopefully with the vent hole Mark on the CalSci screen this will help with turbulence...  Similar in concept to the old Swannee Aerofoil, now Harper's screens.  The CalSci unit looks promising.

I too did not care for the Skidmarx for a couple of reasons so I went back to the stocker.   

My early edition Skidmarx screen was causing vibration problems above 75mph so I too went back to the stock screen. But I recently put the screen back on the bike because I wanted to see if it would still vibrate the front end with the new Hyperpro springs,etc. and up to 95mph there is not as much vibration. I am going to live with it for awhile.

I tested a prototype for the Stelvio screen for Mark and have a finished screen on now. I like it!

I owe Mark some measurements and pictures. I am going out to do that right now as I finally got to take my supposed to be one week vacation today. Beautifull day here in The Republic of Texas!

I will post some pics and ride impressions when I get back from Possum Kingdom on Friday. This will be my first chance to get some distance riding on the bike.

BTW, this was TXRednecks bike. I got it from him a few months ago through MPH. I just saw the post today about his illness!!

I have bought from Calsci before (new windshield for my FJR1300) excellent product and service. I must disclose that Mark used my windshield from my 07 Norge as his prototype, did a great job and he made the same vent at the bottom which helps a lot. Other than that I have no connection with the company.

I recently received and installed my Calsci windshield for the Norge. Although winter has not left this part of the province (Northern Alberta) i was able to get a small ride done on Friday March 10 of 120km round trip.

I found the winshield to be a good product in quality, fit and Finnish. The weather was in my favour on Friday and I found the windshield to meet my expectation and to be superior for over the stock windshield. There was a lot less turbulence and noise in the cockpit area and a whole lot less buffeting that was created with the use of the stock windshield. I mounted the large size on my bike and so far it does what is expected and supports the instructions on "How to choose the best windshield height for you" provided on the Calsci website.

In fairness the riding season has only begun with longer rides lying ahead. I am more interested what benefits the windshield it will have riding in weather and rain, crosswinds and traffic turbulence. Heading for Alaska May 27. My opinion is that the folks at CalSci take there customer seriously and work to develop products based on customer input and feedback.
