Ok, I'm ready to put the Sport up on Ebay. If anyone out in Guzziland is seriously interested please let me know. It's a restored driver, I mean it's not a garage queen. It had 15484 miles on it when I took it apart, I finished it in 2007 and it now has 19030 miles on it. All aluminum parts have been bead blasted, the flywheel is lighten slightly, the engine is balanced, new timing chain and self adjusting tensioner, trans, bevel drive, forks all gone through and resaled, new f09 front calipers, rebuilt master cylinder, stainless lines, 850T rear hub and brake, (original parts included) polished rims, chromed spoke nipples, hand polished original spokes, replica Dunstalls, (fish gills included) T3 starter, (original included). Frame, headlight brackets, guage housing all have beem powder coated. New crash bars and handle bars. Complete turn signal system included as well.

This is a great running and performing bike, I rode it to the national in Minn, got out on Saturday, and would ride it anywhere. If your looking for a 100% show bike this is not it, it's better!!!

No, not really. I had a great time doing this bike and fun riding it. Maybe I was trying to relive my college days, back then I had a '73 drum brake model and wanted a disc! Sold it to buy a BMW, a good idea at the time.  I have some ideas for another project i ahave a client/friend's 76 R90/6 that he wants me to sell for him in the spring, i may just buy that and play with it for a while. If I don't get what I want for the Sport, I'm not letting it go!

Good to know.

Your bike looks really nice!

I'm in the process of helping a friend restore a '74 750S he bought last year (same bike more or less, '74 V7 Sport was the US version of the '74 Euro 750S), so it's nice to know what they go for in other markets.  We're doing a frame-off restore, but it's mostly in nice shape, though the LH cylinder is low on compression (which I will deal with next weekend).

I have been watching these bikes for a while, and the interest is there. I didn't buy and restore this bike as a money making enterprise, I've owned this bike since 1993. I bought from the estate of an old friend. It sat in my barn, soaked regularly in WD40, for about 6 years. I had pulled the tank, and seat and had those in dry storage. The bike had only 15k miles on it so it was a freshen more than a rebuild, I did lighten the flywheel slightly, machined 1/4 inch off the outer diameter, and had a race shop balance the moving parts.
It runs so smooth and the Dunstalls really helped the low end.

I see on your signature you have a lemans with a sidecar. My rig is an 850t3 with an 86 leMans drive train in it. I'd like to see a picture of yours.

I put this one together about 14 years ago.

Currently needs some work, as the frame has cracked (again, though this time I'll have the original frame welded as it's in better shape than the current frame), and also one of the sidecar tubes is broken as well!

LeMans IV, 1986, with Beringer fork and 13" wheels, Fournales all around (5 of them), squire RS3 sidecar, all assembled in 1991-92.  Made sense to buy a second LMIV as I know it inside-out.

I'm going to take the old frame down to a friend in Italy next weekend to get it welded, and probably get the sidecar done by the guy down the street (less critical), and get it all back together this summer.
