Filipo does it again. ;-T

Aside from the fact it looks 27 feet long and those open pipes would set off car alarms 2 miles away...I dig it.

Jesus. What latrine did they have to excavate to find that?

Every time I see a 'New' attempt to 'Modernise' the Griso I realize just how damn good the original design was.

Yes, *we* all want a 'Nuovo LeMans'/ 'Sports-Guzzi'. None of these hideous piles of whaleshit come even close to cutting the mustard.

It looks like a Griso that has been rogered by a hammerhead shark and then allowed to drop from the very top branch of the largest ugly tree on the planet and has hit every branch on the way down before landing in a sewer.

It's hideous! It has no redeeming features at all. It is simply vile.

The things you see when you haven't got a gun!!!!

YOMV, but it would be

WRONG!

There is an idiot in Canberra who has an early Mk I LeMans with Ape Hangers on it. His bike, he can do what he likes with it. Doesn't stop it being ghastly on every conceivable level!!!

I love your comment alltho I do not completely agree on the fugliness part.
It has potential... use some rattle cans of black paint, sledge hammer and some duct tape... and it would look way better. But then again, so would the original griso IMO.

Every new from the factory guzzi I have seen so far needs some work done to improve it.... but then again, different tastes....
Since everyone has their list of bikes in their sig... and it seems useful, here we go:
1979 Yamaha XS 1100
1984 Moto Guzzi V35 II
1998 Moto Guzzi California EV
2001 Aprilia RST1000 Futura

 ;D :D :D :D!

NAH. I know the Griso isn't to everyone's taste. I feel much the same about the Breva and Sport 1200. To my mind that is a 24 carrat uglybike. Only surpassed in the Guzzi line-up by the V7 'Racer', especially the one's with the 'Sputtering', (Don't ask me? It's what Guzzi call that vile faux-chrome finish.) tank. Man that is one hideous motorbike in my book. The V7 'Cafe' is just so much nicer. That's all good though, there is no right and wrong, baring the fact I'm right and you're wrong!!!! ~; ;D

I'd like to see it on the pavement outside the Chrysler building with a grand piano on top of it that had just been tossed off the 25th floor but I'm well known for my tollerance and understanding.

To me, it looks like a butchered Griso. I prefer the three Terblanche concept bikes. They had some interesting and innovative details like the rear view cameras on the valve covers, the finned oil coolers up by the steering head, the flip up seat/tank and the horizontal shock mounted just above the swing arm.

looks really cool.  Great for a concept bike or limited production.  Evokes the SPOrT 1100.

Gives me hope the basic Grisso platform can be built into a new LeMans or Sport production bike.   I don't see down side here.

I like it alot up until it gets to the seat. It's just way to short. I don't like the exhaust either. It makes the long wheel base Griso look like a long bed pick up. If the seat section was lower and extended further it would balance the bike out. Right now it looks like they ran out of time when it got to the seat and rear fender.

Not a big Terblanche fan, but I do like that Tenni Green Supermoto-looking thing...    ;-T  Some very nice machined bits on those show bikes.  I wonder how many of those trick bits are from his pen and how many came from the minds of the engineers on the projects?

Oh, and forget the Pirelli Angels, where can I get me a set of those slicks with the Guzzi Eagle cut into 'em?!

I used to make my living doing this kind of stuff. Most of the time, it's the engineering model maker that comes up with the trick bits..  ;D

Exactly. This is a thread to sit back and enjoy. Pete will be providing the fireworks...

Nah. I just thought it was hillarious that someone's first post should be taking a swipe at someone who had posted something obviously in jest. He is French though so perhaps the humour was lost on him.

Anyway I still think it's a hideous piece of junk. Funny that I'm the old fart when its usually me asking others to 'Get with the programme' and stop stop trying to remain trapped like flies in the amber of the 1970's!!!! ;D

I agree with most of that.  Why put out an effort to do the same thing all the other guys are doing?  IMO, most of those tank-humping designs like that awful ducati a few comments up are hideous.  But like that booger that sticks to you finger or a used condom with static cling, they just don't go away.
