Corsa Italiana in the UK have added some pics to their Facebook of new Stones being uncrated. Look great.

So how does this work?

Are dealers taking pre-order deposits?

Now let's not forget the US version will need "safer colors".

No clear turn signals, nice amber ones...

Black wheels? They will blend into the pavement too much, how about neon yellow?

And that engine should be a nice lime green.

Back in 2000, I saw a pearl white Bassa, didn't know what it was.

Followed the guy until he made a stop and asked numerous questions as I admired his bike.

I knew I had to have one. Took a year for me to research, and even with that I was more than a little nervous buying a "quirky Italian bike with probable QC issues."

Had to have a Guzzi.....everythin g else I looked at just didn't hit me.....bought a new Jackal.

Damn fine bike it turned out to be!

And although I love all bikes, this is the first bike to hit me between the eyes like that white Bassa did!

Must.....have.....o ne.......

This iconic bike may do what the Monster 695/696 did for Ducati and the New Beetle did for VW.

I like the looks of the Stone more than the Racer.  The Stone just looks cleaner with the white tank/ black wheels and side covers.  Man, what a nice looking ride!

No it isn't- it's another person's opinion. You may find reference to this phenomena in chapter 43, para 634 in your copy of "The Human Experience: Interpersonal Relationships for Dummies" (Paragon,1983) Wink

Interesting the new metal tanks - there's a noticeable "droop" on the front lower section of the tank - not sure I like that as much as the straighter lines of the old tanks, but I'm sure the extra capacity is very welcome.

Lovely bike.  That fits my idea of what a do-it-all motorcycle should look like.  Of course that vision was imprinted on my brain back in the sixties, but what the hell.  I expect I'll be adding one of these when they become available here in the U.S.

The bikes are stunning.

But I too must say that I admire the salesmanship of the shop.  From what I can tell, they decided to uncrate them right there on the street in front.  That's one way to draw some attention.  I'm surprised there hasn't been a 4 car pile up from the gawkers.  Won't see many other manufacturers where they can just drop the crate walls and instantly get oooohs and aaaahhhs.

I'd put some harley badges on the tank and then tell people that the factory made a mistake and put the engine in the wrong way......."hey it works and it'll be a collectors item!" Wink

Harley doesn't own orange any more than Moto Guzzi owns the eagle logo. They had the eagle logo 13 years before Harley Wink

I'm not saying other brands can't use it...but I don't really think it's right on a goose....

Red, white,  black, gray, silver....even the right green....but not orange that's too gaudy for Guzzi.

Some people think it's blasphemous to call a Moto Guzzi a "Goose" too  Wink

I have opinions as to what colors the bikes should be offered in as well, but offering more colors brings more variety into things... and I love variety! (It's the spice of life)

I think the white with black wheels looks fantastic!

I'm interested in the weight of the new alloy V7 mags vs the weight of the new alloy-rimmed steel spoked wheels on the Special and Racer. Anyone seen any other info on that or have any experience? I'm assuming alloy rimmed wheels will be lighter than mags? Think it would be a good upgrade for my 2011 Racer.

From the new official V7 site: "The entire range is now equipped with one of two different types of new wheels: in lightweight alloy with five split spokes for the V7, spoked with new polished aluminium rim for Special and anodised black with red hubs to match the frame for the V7 Racer. A reduction in weight for all three compared to the previous version which means an advantage in terms of gyroscopic inertia which translates on the road into greater agility and superlative feel."

the nicest part by far on the new V7 bikes are the cylinder heads IMO, the very small covers
of the older smallblocks have always been a weak point visuably.

Trying really hard here not to sound like I'm picking the nits  Smiley the bikes are simply gorgeous, but I can totally see a nice black tank stripe down the middle of the top of the white tank as with the Stones and the Lemans.
