Another beast at 842 pounds, but I think this is pretty cool and a bold move for Honda! Smiley Cool

Definitely aimed at the "bagger" market that Victory and HD own.

I'm really anxious to see it up close as I like it a great deal from the few pictures I've seen of it. A great move for Honda on an excellent motorcycle. Sort of reminds me of the Valkyrie Interstate owners who have made theirs into a Super Valk which has an easily removable trunk.

No light bar?

I like the pics.  A wing without the integrated tail trunk.  The only negative for me is the seamless, snap-together look of this and some other modern bikes.  Like you're not supposed to see how it goes together or the different mechanical bits.

Still, not bad and probably a torque monster.

I like it - but the concept of a trunkless goldwing has been around for a long time!

I think that in recent years someone actually made a 'trunk delete' kit.

Ya but look at how his knees are higher than his hips, it's going to cause him to slump his lower back  backward and really jam up his hips, so than he will have to try and find hiway pegs which will make him slump even more like sitting in a recliner, so he will end up looking like the typical Harley Rider, which I guess at over 800 lbs is the point of this bike. Just my opinion thou.

IDK, to me, it looks like Honda is trying to jazz up a tired, old platform, and make it young and hip -- and it ain't working.  Kinda like an older dude who gets a hair transplant and a spray-on tan, and tries to make it with younger chicks -- pathetic.

What they're trying to do is build sales, like all firms. Jazzing up old tired platforms has been a hallmark of Harley's for years! Not everyone's cup o' tea no doubt but for some, looking at Wings and their competition this may just give enough "tude" to the old tired platform to translate into some sale's floor traffic. Maybe not?

At 842 pounds, 62 pounds lighter than the standard Gold Wing, it's still a beast.

But like I said, so is the Victory, the Triumph Rocket-III, and most Big Twin FLH series Harley's. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Bikes tipping the scales at 800-850 pounds are fine, until one has to wrestle one backwards or on an incline.  Which of course, is why Gold Wings have a REVERSE! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Shocked Shocked Shocked Grin Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley

The much maligned Rune. I actually liked it for its boldness and not following the pack in overall styling like many cruiser type bikes. And being a Honda, a six cylinder Honda, it was smooth, powerful, and reliable. I would have liked to have seen them take a greater hold. I find cruiser "sameness" some of the most boring styling there is these days.

I like the looks of this bike alot.   I agree on the riding position.  Seems to me that after a while, one would have to stretch those legs out a bit....as one who can go about 100  to 150 miles in the standard riding position, before I can feel it in the hips and need to stretch the legs.

Don't let the rider on the Wing fool you.  Your knees are lower on a Wing then they are on a Cali series bike.  I constantly smack my ankles on the pegs on the Bassa after riding the Wing.
Highway pegs are icing on the cake!

I like the victory Vision more than the Honda, I overtook this woman in Washington state one time, she was riding a Vision and at a stoplight she told me it was George Jettsons bike!! Ever since then I've kinda liked them!! They are unique!! This Honda kinda looks kinda like......aw whatever...nothing groundbreaking!! JMHO  Tongue

What highway pegs are those?  Am I correct that they automagically move up and a bit out of the way when you move your feet back to the standard pegs?  I've been looking at 1500s (can't afford an 1800) and highway pegs are a must.

I like parts of the concept, but the damn thing is WAY too heavy for me. Why not come up with a truly new bike, similar in concept to this one but smaller, maybe 2/3 the engine displacement, shorter wheelbase, and 150 lbs lighter?
