He has had computer troubles in the past, and this address got to him.  Good luck.

Yup, that's the email I have used to reach him many times, but no response for the last couple of months at least.   Seriously,  I am getting concerned about Charley,  so if anyone knows that he okay, please post.

Thanks,

I'm still waiting for him to bill me for a transmission he rebuilt last April. Must be real busy if he can't find time to even get paid.

I understand from Loretta that (a) they're up to their eyeballs in snow, and (b) the shop is unheated.

Think they escaped to Florida?

I drove Charlie near-crazy, several years ago, pestering him for my bill so I could pay him for his good work.  Quite the opposite of Rick Mayer, who has had my money and donor seat since November and won't return my phone calls.

He repaired my final drive (LM3) back in 2008 and did a friend's Sport 1100 xmission  a few years later.  He enclosed his bill with the final drive.  I was more than happy with his price and mailed the check out the next day.  The man is a definite asset to the Guzzi community.

Charley has had my friend Jake's Ambo transmission and rear drive for 9 months. Last time Jake called in Dec., Loretta told him his was next up. Jake, tired of waiting, has told them to send it all back, but it's still there. Anyone that knows him personally - what the heck is going on? An unheated shop isn't a valid excuse after 9 months...

I thought I'd give this post a bump.  He has had my transmission for 2 months, actually I'm more worried about Charley than I am my transmission so it's good the hear he is doing well.

Unfortunately he lives so far east in Long Island, it makes a visit to check-in an all day affair.

I got a message from Charley a couple of weeks ago.  He said he had been having some computer issues, and came across my message when looking for something else.  He indicated that he was doing okay, and headed back out to the shop.  Hope he is well!

Thanks for passing along the news on Charley. He's had my gearbox since last fall. Not that I need it. Would sure be nice if they returned their calls.

Maybe his Microsoft PC is troubling him?
