New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I have a 2014 just like it, a very good machine with no problems at more than 6K miles. Before buying it check to see if it comes with a warranty, the warranty is to the original purchaser only, not transferable.Grant
That's pretty..., but I just put down payment on a 2016 black Duke 390.I would love to have a R E, but after the Tenni, I better lay reaaaally low for a while.

drool/ .. how tall are you? I wanted one until I sat on it at the show.. too cramped for me .. the 690 Duke fit better, but not in my wallet..
Jay,The good news is I finally got the Enfield out the other day and was pleasantly surprised that it runs at 70 MPH (indicated) without being very buzzy as lots of other folks claim it is even when the ODO hits 60 or 65. I don't think I'd take the interstate for more than an exit or two but its nice to know it is possible for short durations. I think it will be an extremely fun leisurely back road explorer. While I don't think they are $6,795 (or even the new lower msrp) motorcycle they certainly are a $3,000 motorcycle. Now I need to get 4 or 5 bikes sold so I can put more miles on fewer bikes.
I have to admit that if it was next year I'd probably be itching to jump on that red one... oh well, maybe it's a good thing that it is not next year...
I don't know how much or if they'll budge on the price. I asked about knocking $100 off if I brought in cash and they declined.
They had apparently gotten the price tags switched between the two bikes. The red one is a demo, and was to have been priced at $3,100, and yours at $3,300. That might be why they wouldn't budge on yours. I'm thinking that if they meant to price the red one at $3,100, they should at least come down to that.I certainly don't need another bike, nor should I even be thinking about buying one, but, as they get closer to the date of the owner change over, they might come down. The letter I got from them announcing this sale stated that all MUST go by Feb 26th. So, I'm thinking, I could show up on Feb 25 and offer a few hundred less , and get it.
50% or more off MSRP is hard to resist. I know I couldn't. The last thing I wanted, needed or desired was another bike or for that matter the last 5 bikes, but the RE is to GREAT of a deal to pass up. If you don't buy it you'll kick yourself later. You owe it to yourself

Thanks -- I'll have a look before making a purchase decision. It seems like a pretty active forum.I don't need another motorcycle.....I don't need another motorcycle.....I don't need another motorcycle.....I don't need another motorcycle.....I don't need another motorcycle.....I don't need another motorcycle..... I'm going to have to try that mantra too....
I signed up on classicmotorworks and like WG it seems to have a couple of folks who really know their stuff. It isn't as active as WG but there are certainly fewer questions. I assume to the slower evolution of the brand.
My impression (only over the last 7 years) is that all the Enfield sites were a lot more active before the EFI models came in, but once the EFI population increased significantly, there were just a lot less problems reported. Certainly the none of the people I know with EFI models seem to have issues of any significance.
I do not know either answer. I do know that he said the bike was good to 55mph and at 56 it vibrated like crazy so I am thinking it might have been a Lean Burn/AVL model and not the more modern UCE.
A quick Royal Enfield education would be appreciated. I guess I didn't know there was an intermediate engine between the old cast iron lumps with separate transmissions and the new UCE engine. What is/was the AVL engine, and how long was it in use? Thanks,Bob
