Lug Wrench for Stelvio, others
« on: May 11, 2016, 08:39:49 PM »
I've been meaning to post this for a while now.

I recently added this little jewel to my on-board tool stash with the Stelvio. It's a compact 17MM lug wrench intended for a Mercedes.  It fits the Stelvio rear nuts perfectly and has just the correct amount of offset to allow proper access to the nuts.

I snagged mine off eBay and several were listed.

I also carry a 30MM box end (sawed from a combo wrench) to fit the front axle nut.  These items, along with various other tools, allow complete removal of the wheels on the road.

Could also be beneficial in a self defense scenario. The redneck weapon of choice.

Malcom Smith Racing (MSR) also offers a lightweight combo wrench for the front axle.  You could saw off the end that isn't 30mm to make it even lighter and smaller for the tool bag.

Yeah, knock em in the head with class. Use a Mercedes Benz wrench.

Yep, that's an option. $20 plus ship.

I found a new sure-nuf combo wrench for about half that on eBay and sawed off the open end.
