So this wasn't just MY experience. This leads me to ask why? These are awesome fun bikes, unique, historical, priced well too. No race teams maybe? Poor marketing for sure, can't even bike a sticker or a key chain.
I was so excited to get there to embrace Guzzi in their homeland. Disappointed with my findings. I've been there a number of times, but not since owning my '10 V7cc. Scooters everywhere in Rome and Florence and Croatia too, very few cycles. Of them, Guzzi spotted I could count on one hand. There are so few. No "real" dealerships anywhere either. At one "cycle shop" I was told Guzzi and the government is so corrupt, there can never prosper. Merchandise is a joke she said. What's frustrating is Vespa is so well embraced and merchandised. You'd think they'd transfer those marketing efforts across all their brands. I literally bought not even a t shirt, nor even a photo of a bike or shop.I really love my V7, so very satisfied. I guess that's what's most important. I just thought everyone should learn what I have, expected in Italy, they already had.
