Thank you Beetle

Thank you Beetle.

I finally got around to installing your fuel map into my 04 California last night. That was a very simple and rather quick operation. Yes, I'd already pulled a copy of the stock maps off and saved them a while ago. Anyways, finished hauling kids to school last week, so I'm now riding my bike back and forth to work every day. It's been glorious, except for the few known issues. Like cruising across town at 30 mph in 2nd gear at 3000 rpm, let off the throttle a little bit and it chops so bad you think you're going over the bars.

So, uploaded the new map last night and that 30 mph throttle bog is just gone. Nice and smooth... Oh, and did I mention the power? Admittedly, these 100 bikes were not hurting for power to start with, but as of this morning, the old butt-dyno says she's running better and is pulling the hills better than ever. I am impressed. Been keeping track of my fuel use for the last week quite closely as well, I'm expecting to see some improvements there too.

So, thank you again, Beetle. That new fuel map was just what she needed!

If I owned Guzzi, I'd harass the guts out of Beetle and Roper to get them to re settle in Como @ factory's expense.
The boffins can't be ignorant of how valuable a rescource these two blokes are..
Imagine the outgoings in € for damage due to poor mapping ex factory and 8V's with lunched motors thus far..
I'd probably move to Italy and get a job there, my MC truck licence would make it a slam dunk...
Hmmm..

Ah yes Mark
But I am  very sure you would take the Euro4 envelope and develop a far better "compliant" map than what is the standard offer 🤙🤙

I found this comment on the Stalkbook V7 UK group quite interesting.

Wait wait wait...I blew beer out my nose when Pete Roper referenced the nun's chuff, now Beetle's well chuffed. I think I'll retire to the couch and watch a full day's worth of World Cup games while I ponder this.
