DIYer Rollerized 2011 Stelvio with B kit
« on: August 16, 2018, 10:03:14 AM »
Just finished the roller conversion of my small tank Stelvio, would have not been possible without Pete’s tutorial on rollerising the 8V. Also want to thank Pete for guiding me on which kit to buy, it’s not exactly straight forward between choosing A vs B.

I attached a pic  the old camboxes, it appears one tappet on each cam was worn, the other on each was still all black, cam lobes appear to have some wear.

The major difference in the way the bike runs is how quiet the valves are now. Overall performance seems the same, for this model and year the Piaggio notice doesn’t require a remapping. Very happy a did this now since I really love the bike !

It's also recommended to drop and clean the sump to ensure you get as much of the DLC particles out of the engine as possible.  I followed Pete's instructions for rollerizing 13K miles ago on my '12 Norge and have had no issues.
