A live forum would be fun..
« on: July 15, 2019, 10:10:55 PM »

I just read Frans Belgium’s post regarding the ‘06 raduno.
I thought how much fun it’d be to have a bunch of the more opinionated WG members there in person in 2021 and open a few old threads live..
My top 10 attendees and topics of conversation are coalescing into a solid ball, like the genesis of a spiral galaxy.
#1 Luap......(ultimate authority and recipient of undiluted gratitude)
#2 Dusty.....(gentle policing of unruly participants without kicking too many heads publicly)
#3 Rocker....(the crowd controller who doesn’t mind if people don’t like him, as long as things don’t get too dirty)
#4 Roper.....(lashings of common sense and encyclopaedic knowlege, floating in a sea of selected beverage)
#5 Beetle....(Dispenser of torrents of vitriol, interspersed with invaluable gems of information on his selected topic/s)
#6 Kev m....(agitator when conversation diminishes by benevolent disagreement, keeps conversation bubbling)
#7 Daniel....(compiling a photographic montage of the fun)
#8 Skyguyz.(gazing into the clear waters of Lake Como looking for reflections)
#9 Old Jock.(so we can perv on his bike/s)
#10 ****....(some shameless self promoter from the Southern Hemisphere whose name escapes me at present)
Jeez, what a fireworks display !
Any suggestions of the top ten topics?

I am big fan of the Lannis and Dusty Fellowship Council.

And of course the Pabst Blue Ribbon Riders' Club.

And who can forget the Peter Roper Tact and Etiquette Expression Review?

Luap tried a "live chat" function on this very WG list some years ago, and it went as flat as a strap, no one ever signed in.

And having been at rallies, people's homes, etc with several of these guys (Kev m, Pete Roper, Rocker to name a few) I can assure you with great confidence that any sort of "fireworks" would not be in the agenda; all conversations are civil, non-controversial, and focus on subjects like exactly how do you get a wrench on a chain-tensioner bolt on an 8-valve, whether titanium tent-pegs or simple bent steel ones are better, and what's the best route from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh if you don't want to take the Turnpike.

So don't start cornering the market on popcorn, alum sticks, ice packs, and butterfly bandages yet ....

That’s good to know Lannis.
So people are a lot more civil when they’re looking at each other then ?
That’s nice.
