Bridgestone T30 tyre report.
« on: January 03, 2015, 09:33:16 PM »
After a post from Rocker59 about the general feel of the Bridgestone T30  tyres fitted to an 1100 sport I fitted a set.
The bike seemed to become much more responsive and lighter.
These tyres are cheaper than most of the other options for the 18" rear fitting of the sport, but the test would come at a track day.

The tyres were  great and the bike performed very well. So far so good.
Cheers, voncrump

Did they get squirrely when they got hot on the track?  Or, did they keep the same sort of feel.

I haven't thought of them as track day tires, but I sure do like the way they feel on my '96 Sport 1100.

Still haven't put a lot of miles on them, but no complaints so far.

They did start to loosen up a bit but never seemed to get into any type of slide.
I was startled to see the melting on the back tyre but it still felt safe.
I took the photos after riding home so a lot of the balling up had been rubbed off.
I am impressed with these tyres, but I have not yet tried them in the wet.
Cheers, voncrump.
PS thanks for the info on the T30's

I put a set on the 2010 Stelvio late this fall but between hunting a sucky weather I only have 1000 miles on them. I really like the feel so far and they show no visible wear. since I rarely see 4000 on a rear I think they will be good.
I think Bridgestone learned a lot when the made the 709 / 704 for the 2012 Gold wing. these tires a vastly superior to any other one on a wing if running hard in the mountains.
